  1. I ordeded it too the other day. Eagerly looking forward to get my hand on it.
  2. Have anyone seen a picture of the breva frame? The breva is wrapped in ugly plastics so it is hard to tell what the frame actually look like and how stylish a naked Sport with that frame would be.
  3. And for the Palm then: Matt Marsh' Converter freeware
  4. I was thinking something like this quick mock-up behind the oil-sump.
  5. I look at the quota exhaust, this is a 2into1 part: I don't think this is optimal, the tubes should be of as equal length as possible AFAIK. Comments?
  6. Attach a picture of a couple of Supertrapp, the Megaphone (from a Buell) is 2" intake and 4" discs/outlet. I plan to use that and a custom made 2into1 on my Nuda. It is considerely lighter than the stock silencers. The smaller is on old IDS (now called IDS2) 2" in 4" out, it is extremly light. The lenghts are 18" and 16" respectively.
  7. >Are a 2002 Sport's tires tubeless? Yes all modern street tyres are. > Do you change your own tires? If not where do you get it done .... cycle shop or auto tire shop? Auto tyre shop. You can do i yourself, but you need a bead breaker >I always changed my dirt bike tires but these big road slicks intimidate me. Dirt track tyres can be "jumped off", but tubeless are stiffer and low profile. >How do you keep from scarfing the rims? Rim protectors between tyre irons and rim >Is balancing required? Yes, but static balancing is good enough just let spinn on an axle a few time and mark the place where it stops with a crayon The pattern shows any imbalance, compensate with lead and try again. >Do you have to remove a front disk to get the tire off? No Edit: Carl beat me to it, while I was writing and looking for pics.
  8. Goran do you have receive & try as turn signals - is this working ? I got them but haven't had time to mount them. I was going to use them as rar/brake lights and it should be simpler than expected. I thought I had to wire up some resistance circuit to get two different powers for normal and braking but it is wire up for that already. I was thinking of running without turning signals altogether
  9. the name of the models suggest the common intake diameters of 40 and 45 mm. Our intakes are 52mm. But it never hurts to ask.
  10. According to Metzeler USA:
  11. Metzeler is owned by Pirelli so much of the technology is shared between the companies: RennSport RS1/2/3: pure race tyres (like Pirelli Super Corsa 1/2/3) RennSports: "Road legal racing tyre for use on public roads" (very similar to Pirelli Dragon Corsa or Diablo Corsa) SportTec M-1s: "Introducing sheer power for supersport machines, the SPORTEC M-1 is a revolutionary development for high speed fun..." (very similar to Pirelli Dragon or Diablo) Any of these should be OK. Pirelli Diablo is the newest and most modern of these. SportTecs etc has a bit better milage and more thread for better grip in wet conditions, RennSports / Corsas has supergrip on dry tarmac.
  12. In a recent discussion on the swedish sportbike forum, which includes a large part of the racing community, the most recommended tyres where Metzeler RennSports, Pirelli Diablo Corsa and Dragon SuperCorsa. Not the tyres for milage but with premium grip. Many buys used race tires, likes Pirelli SCs, cheap and use runs a whole seson on a couple of sets.
  13. If I switched out the pistons I should also go for a pair of Carrillo conrods AND rebalance the crankshaft. Higher compression increase the load on the components so I think you should take these precautions.
  14. It is compare to 92HP on a stock V11 so it should be crank HPs.
  15. Dynotec claims that they can make 108 HP: Dynotec V11 Ventiltriebskit 8806, Brennraumbearbeitung spez.Auspuffanlage, DynoTec-Abstimmung 108 PS (79,5 kW) bei 8300/min 101 Nm bei 6400/min
  16. Baldini, I thought the welsh were the handy men of the britsih empire I saw an article in a swedish magazine about an welsh farmer and his old racing Ducati. Lot's of home made stuff and handy man repairs on that one. Why order what can be home made (or at your local mechnical shop)
  17. QUickshifter new little thingie, breaks the ignition for a moment when you upshift I suppose.
  18. I have an Öhlins SD100 with 120mm stroke, a SD110 with 90mm stroke should be optimal but I got the SD100 cheap It is a world of difference between the Bitubo and the Öhlins, the Bitubo makes the steering heavy, the Öhlins unit does it's job when it is needed without being noticeable when not needed. Attaching a list of Öhlins universal SDs I also have my original Bitubo lying around give me an offer.
  19. How about these: I ordered a couple of those (in red) to test if they work as rear/brake lights. from Streetworks
  20. - On the race track straight - on the drag strip - when shifting during a wheelie otherwise flick the clutch.
  21. Nothing of that will ever touch my bike Garage season has begun, plans are layed, pictures will be posted when I have something to show but don't hold you breath
  22. I have the red Paddock stand which is very useful when working on the engine since it is out-of-the-way. A little trick: Before I remove the front wheel on either of the bikes, I secure it by hanging the front of the frame to a beam in the ceiling of the garage. If it should fall it doesn't "fall down".
  23. Moved the answer to this thread: It's my old AGV Quasar racing with Max Biaggi design Of course Max is sponsored by Suomy today but that just make my helmet cooler The face mask came with the helmet. It is removable. I use it when temperature drop below +20 Celsius (which is not uncommon here in northern Sweden) Last summer I normally used an open helmet which is comfortable when running short distances or in town. It has been so many accidents lately so I have given up on comfort and always put on full protective gear. Racing helmets are not comfortable, they should have a very tight fit and I have to fiddle with my glasses every time I take it on (and off). Contact lenses, next season. BUT I should feel comfortable (= safe) in anything else than racing gear.
