  1. Fuel pump relay ?
  2. Make sure you clean the shaft surface with a Scotch-Brite pad and clean with BrakeKleen before reinstalling the sea.lDo use a liberal amount of grease on the seal lip surface when you reinstall................
  3. I have bar end mirrors on my bike w/no vibration........ Be sure to reinstall the weights on the ends.......e.g.I forgot to n will do that some time this year.
  4. I sync the throttle bodies by; (1) disconnect the linkage connecting the 2 throttle bodies. (2) make sure throttle kicker is backed off to not affect anything. (3) back throttle plate screws out completely. (4) put a .002" feeler gauge between adj. screw & contact point on lever. Turn screw in til it touches and has good tension on the feeler gauge. (5) remove feeler gauge and turn screw in one turn. (6) repeat process to other throttle body. (7)put a .010" feeler gauge between the adj screw and the stop on the l.h.side throttle body and a .008" feeler gauge on the r.h. side throttle body. (8) connect the linkage to the two throttle bodies. (9) tighten (you may have to lengthen the rod before doing this)the plastic knob until the r.h. side feeler gauge falls out of position. This operation will require plenty of hands. Think about what is going on to understand what you are doing. This will have the throttle plates synchronised. (10) your warm idle speed is adjusted with the idle screw of the l.h.side screw. The airflow screw on each throttle body is a trim or balance adjustment. You want them to be turned in or out an equal amount before you start balancing them. I think my TPS is around 0.450v at idle speed ?
  5. The sad thing Linda (now) is as big as a sow............
  6. You should be sure to remind people to use the propane torch not lit.........
  7. I was planning on purchasing an Arai helmet til the vendor told me to try ALL brands to see what fit me. The Shoei model I purchased fit me the best.............Unless you are buying an exact replacement, you should go to a shop that will allow you to try them on.
  8. Check the shift pivot bolt FIRST thing. The shift lever will rust to the bolt and cause the shifter to stick in the down position. There is a jam nut you must loosen/remove before you remove the shift lever pivot bolt.
  9. The rotors on my 87 SE are cast iron. They rust with ANY moistture in the air. They will bring your bike to a halt !!! I will probably get some for the V11..........
  10. MPH Cycles or MotoInternational shouls stock them.........Purchase plenty of gaskets , extra filters , etc.
  11. People use too much sealers when applying to mating surfaces........ Use just enough to where it seeps out the sides (edges) of the mating surfaces.
  12. Room Temperature Vulcanizing sealer ...............Hylomar would be my choice of gasket sealant....
  13. Good to have you..........let us know how the Fiat handles "in the mansion", have fun w/the bike, enjoy every day & we hope to cross paths w/you !
  14. Maybe if we could see a "before & after" photo.......... we could give better advice ?
  15. I would use a "dry-film" graphite spray lube on any splines like the clutch hub. Prepare it by using brake-cleaner and a soft bristle wire brush !
  16. The shift pivot bolt is probably the culprit. Loosen the pivot bolt jam nut at the inside of the pivot 1 turn..........try turning the bolt CCW one turn. Then CW one turn. If the shifter moves with the bolt rotation, you have found the problem. The pivot bolt is threaded into the frame and has a jam nut locking the bolt in place. Remove the bolt and apply liberal amounts of grease to the shifter pivot bore n reinstall.........Good luck !
  17. It will be easier to look things over to safeguard against this than to hook up dual throttle cables.....
  18. You will be able to verify this when you loosen the jam nut and start removing the pivot bolt. It will pull the shift lever downward hard enough to engage it in first gear and when you reverse rotation of the bolt it will move the lever upward...
  19. Yes. To find that you could go for a ride and stop the bike. Then remove the fill plug to see if there is pressure built up in the transmission.
  20. The first thing to check is the pivot bolt the shift lever is mounted with. It will rust and cause the shifter to stick. I had to remove and liberally grease it to keep it from sticking. * The pivot bolt has a nut on the inside and the bracket it goes through is threaded so loosen the nut and hold it while removing the bolt.
  21. Drain the fluid n tell us what you find.................
  22. There is very little stress on the rod cap other than when the rod is being pulled down during the intake stroke of the crankshaft rotoaion.
  23. Can you post pics of this rod "assembled" and indicate which is forward as far as the rod/piston relation in the block.
