  1. I forgot to mention I have had to throw away some expensive trash. I also spent a week trying to fix a washing machine. After siphoning 4 tubs of water from "Christine" and going to the laundry mat I treated myself to a NEW washer.
  2. In Kentucky we turn the motorcycle upside down like a bicycle.
  3. Catylic convertors were made to completely burn any unburned gases. These things require a warm-up time to start working effeciently. This is just about the time you normally get where you are going. A "closed loop" system which uses an O2 sensor is the most effecient type of fuel injection because it monitors the burned gas process to see if it is lean or rich. Unfortunately the O2 sensor has to be hot before it starts working. This is why some O2 sensors use a 4 wire sensor that has a heater built in to start the sensor working quicker. ".
  4. Do NOT be intimidated to take something apart. There is an excellent chance someone dumber than you assembled it. Their advantage is familiarity and repetition. If you have never ben hit in the face with a clockspring you are not an adventurer. Get a manual, become familiar with the vernacular, disassemble things slowly and spread them out on a clean flat surface so none of your pets or friends can disturb anything. Do not be afraid to ask questions. I consulted with Traxxion and got new springs for ME and my 245lb. soon to be >200lb. body. The Marzocchi forks were VERY simple to rebuild... DO read the manual so you will not take them apart 12 times just 10 or less.
  5. Ratch, I love your rhetoric! Keep it coming...
  6. I am going from experience. When I was young I put Champion plugs in my 70 Mustang because I wanted the best. About 1000 miles and it missed out at high rpms. After 3 sets I went back to Motorcraft. Now I TRY to use what came from the factory.
  7. Easily remedied, ease off the throttle before 270 and 450 degrees of every other crankshaft revolution to ease this shock.
  8. A sprk plug is a spark plug is a spark plug.....but I buy the OEM recommended brand period. I don't know anything about this brand but any gimmick spark plug is a gimmick.
  9. And this is 5% of what the US govt. gave the c**ksuckers at Fannie Mae,Freddie Mae and AIG (with NO strings attched) to squander away. I think someone stated the govt. could give EVERY taxpayer $1m each and come out cheaper.
  10. Charlie, Don't be afraid to buy. You will probably buy a V11 Sport naked. Then a Rosso Corsa because the paint scheme is HOT. Then (just because) you will get a Ballabio. After that you will see a Coppa Italia you can't live without. Then comes the levers, brake rotors, exhaust,PowerCommander, wheels, carbon fiber,etc.. p.s. any naked bike looks better than one with a fairng!
  11. Which corporation can influence legislator$ to do what i$ be$t for America i$ probably going to happen.
  12. On ebay...Item # 220323028820 This is a single disc clutch kit for MGs The single disc came stock on some models and will fit all models. Just in case you don't like the noises when you pull in the lever on doudble disc models. This is Speaker's Cycle and shows two V11s for sale on this ad.
  13. There are two types of V11 owners. #1 those who ride a bike w/out PowerCommander. #2 those who ride with the Powercommander and LOVE their transformed machine.... To answer your question, you can drop it in. Personally it will not hurt to dyno it and modify it if needed. FWIW, the PALESTRA is where the steps Rocky made his famous ascent. And this movie was about the worst movie made. Predictable, playing to the simplest of minds and had a cartoon quality plot. I love this and it is one of my all time favorites. There is no man that does not envision himself climbing those steps to that music and then kicking the s**t out of his competitor !
  14. Good deal ! I hope this works out for you. p.s. I think Joe kenny makes a brake lever for the V11. gene
  15. I honestly think the longer you wait the worse it will get. Just look at it this way, you fall down a flight of stairs at work (and get hurt) because of negligence on their part. Do you report this immediately or do you wait to see if you are hurt or not?
  16. Have you contacted your insurance company for advice ? Since the other person "hit and run" you are in charge of the situation. I would get a fair market value price for the bike with the understanding you keep the bike.
  17. Checkmate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He made that USA butt crack look GOOD!
  18. Mine did the same thing. I can only guess it is the cross-drilled rotors.
  19. She might look HOT, but can she change my motorcycle tires with her bare hands?
