  1. If you do this, leave the tank unsealed to vent the fumes in the tank..............
  2. i like that...............
  3. Not to be a smart*** but, do you know how to use a test light and a wiring diagram? KiwiRoy has some good power and ground circuit diagrams here. Do you live int the U.S, U.K, Europe, etc.... If you want to have someone talk you through a quick test procedure someone (me) can talk and get a better understanding of the problem....... You stated I hope the bike was running when you parked it? Now you have no power?
  4. Please explain your ailment and we can take that into consideration whe giving you advice............ I have arthritis Do you know anything about treating arthritis with honey bee stings?
  5. Do you own or rent the equipment to do this? This looks like the way to go.........
  6. You did what ??????? with the dry ice.....
  7. Since oil pressure is somewhat important, you should gain access to an oil pressure gauge to find out exactly how much pressure the bike has.
  8. Please explain your ailment and we can take that into consideration whe giving you advice............
  9. To the best of my knowledge there are only 2 categories; with the external pump and with the internal pump. The external pump has a black rubber pad at the fuel filler cap. I think they are the same external dimensions though.
  10. How did you crash? Is this an insurance job or out of pocket ? Most bikes a wrecked from the front so SOMEONE parting out V11s should have a rear swingarm. p.s. you must have had some real winners repairing the bike if this got past them.
  11. Do use shakeproof washers on all connections to ensure a good circuit.
  12. Well, it started out lifting and ended up tapping.............
  13. erm, I can't find anything! But some stuff just comes to me. I think it's because I'm a V.11Forum Moderator and so have partial super-powers (and a computer). Wellllll, I have a computer.
  14. The downside would be if you had an electrical problem with ANY one of the components in the flywheel. The Model T(I think) had the electrical/charging system integral with the flywheel. The Hybrid vehicles being produced now have this (a real mess)setup.
  15. Are you sure this sensor is going to have the same temp/resistance values ? Yes or No..not maybe.
  16. Attach the wiring directly to the battery and place an inline fuse on the pos. wire as close to the battery as possible. Use nylon ties to secure the wires and use a sturdy bracke to mount the receptacle.........
  17. Do you have access to a wiring diagram for your bike? I assume the pcm is easier to access than the air temp sensor. If you can disconnect the wiring harness and check the resistance at the pins to see if you have continuity or not. If you don't then gain access to the sensor and check it. If it is open the sensor is bad.If it is not you have problems with the wiring. p.s. I do not know what the resistance value is at ambient temperature. You should assume if it is between (for now) 100-2000 ohms it is o.k......
  18. I have one for the rear caliper if you want it...................
  19. What is a caliper cover ?
  20. $20 for a brake hose is a bargain............
  21. I don't think the brake hose problem could cause the pads to do this to the rotors. I suspect the caliper is sticking. It needs attention.
  22. Is your's the Veglia model ? White or black face ? I had mine fixed at Palo Alto Speedo Service. Costly but I am happy. You can call for pricing info to decide what you want to do............
  23. Amen.............
  24. Define crush washers ? The belleville (Schnorr ) washer beneath the allen screws ? Fastenal has them but I think they are available in fraction size only. Don't quote me on this.
