  1. Here's one I'll submit only for the reason that it was invented, patented and manufactured by my grandfather back in the 50's I believe. You used to buy them is a box of 10 or so,cant tell as the original box is falling apart. Its not automotive related so I'll give some clues. Think sheep and wool and the shearing shed. Open Closed Ciao
  2. I'll go with that. Ciao
  3. I track the data each day and unfortunately you guys are getting smashed at the moment esp in NY. Fingers crossed for you all over there. One thing I know about Americans is when they unite and set their mind on a goal they get it done. Ciao
  4. Thinking,thinking Ciao
  5. Yes AF. No old mechanical unit. The later -7 engines on the 737-800"s went to FADEC ( Full Authority Digital Engine Control) with a fuel metering unit (FMU) You should see the internals of the old FCU or MEC as GE called them. The most complicated mechanical thing you can imagine. Ciao
  6. A key fob of that pedigree should be in a glass case docc:) Ciaoi
  7. Boeing 737-300/400 engine carburettor docc. Hmmm, is it for a Guzzi? Looks like it could be for an outboard engine. Ciao
  8. Looks like the ring spanner for getting to the back mount nuts on a CFM-56 Fuel Control unit docc. Ciao
  9. Hmmmm, at least when you buy a crank you can see what you are getting. Hope its not a frying pan to fire deal for you. Ciao
  10. Eeeeeek, a key fob. Hey docc could you have gotten an optional window in the bottom of the speed hut Tacho with an lcd clock? Do Speed Hut offer that option? Ciao
  11. So 1 12mm x 35 x 1.75 button head cap screw grade 8, blue loctite and a washer. Cant really imagine why it would be 12mm screw, a 10 would have been more than adequate in my mind but that's Guzzi. Weight, what is this thing weight I wouldnt worry about the snoring washer if you cant source one, a plain one with the loctite will be fine. Ciao
  12. Dont know how any V11 owner in their right mind wouldn't pull the trigger on this little gem Ciao
  13. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Gift-for-Moto-Guzzi-le-Mans-V11-Motorcycle-Driver-Fans-Kiesenberg-Watch-20426/143576117588?hash=item216dcdb154:g:bdkAAOSwiiVbq1pl Ciao [docc copied image location]
  14. Good solution. Now you just need new rod bolts and bearings. Ciao
  15. Good plan Chuck. Its a lock down here for us as well. My son was tested last week as he had all the symptoms except for the fever. I was pretty confident he was ok as the fever is a 90% indicator. Turns out he was fine as was my youngest daughter. Its the highly contagious nature with the virus capable of surviving on surfaces for hours combined with the unpredictability of its effect thats a big problem. Seems there's no rhyme or reason why some seemingly healthy people succumb to it and others shake it off with minimal discomfort. Ciao
  16. Sure, might be a little while though. Ciao
  17. Well you can buy a new cooler for around $100 on ebay so its not a huge expense but I dont think cooler contamination is a realistic worry. The debris would need to pass the pickup screen, the oil pump, the oil filter to get to the cooler and the cooler thermostat would need to be open for oil to be getting into it anyway. I'd flush it of course but I dont think its an issue. I'd spend more time on the oil filter housing support with the passages for the oil cooler thermostat and the pressure regulating valve. There's a lot of passages and a valve assembly in that lot. Ciao
  18. Yes Cali rims would be the wrong hence the need to re lace Cali hubs with modern 17 inch rims. Ciao
  19. Visual flight rules Ciao
  20. Well I tried the hangers and adaptor plates and they dont work with my mufflers. The plates move the hangers outboard about 6 mm and the the hanger mount area interferes with the seat cowl. I could relieve the inside of the cowl 3mm or so but when I loosely hung them in place the high rise didnt look good with my slender mufflers. I have never really liked the high pipe look of the Ti cans to be honest but it seemed to look good with the big bulky std cans. Maybe its the angle of the image or something dont know but the high hangers with my mufflers is not the look for me. I had the feeling of deja vu during the the whole process actually:) Ciao
  21. Damn this is embarrassing. I dug out my hangers that I've had for years and there is adaptor plates there. I've been collecting parts for this for so long I've forgotten what I actually have. Sorry for wasting your time.
  22. Flashback. I'd do this rim wise if I was going to but its not a look I think serves a std looking V11. Knumbnutz's modified bike maybe but not the std bike for mine. https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?/topic/7014-spoke-wheels-for-v11/ Ciao
