  1. Ha ha Yep the pool and vino won out mate...... Cheers
  2. Jeezuz, glad I did my travelling in Europe before it became the mess it is now...!
  3. Bugger, first time I've had the time to watch it in ages and it's 30 degrees and hardly a breath of wind outside.... Do I shoot up to the lounge, fire up the tv and surround sound and put it on OR do I pour a nice glass of NZ Sauv Blanc and slip out to the pool for a dip....? I think I hear the vino and pool calling.....! Cheers Ps maybe I'll get to watch it in the hols which aren't far away.
  4. Yeah, the 120 degree triples do sound good.... So does my mates MV triple with an aftermarket pipe..... music! Cheers
  5. Bloody hell that must have been an eye opener for you.....! I don't get all this gangster/outlaw club caper as basically if you live by the sword you'll surely die by the sword! Some might last a little longer than others, but the sword will come for you! Must get round to watching this movie all the same as I've had the 4k bluray since it was released and haven't done so yet! Thanks for reminding me, now just need the time to watch it ha ha. Cheers
  6. Yeah, it looks pretty standard to me too! I saw a couple of these when I was at the Boggy Creek* shindig a few years ago. Cheers * Laverda and Moto Guzzi clubs get together at the Curdievale ( Boggy Creek pub ) here in Victoria Oz.
  7. Yep Wolfgang Haerter in Nakusp Canada. Cheers
  8. I watch the Laverda forum here and Redax in Qld seems to be a pretty good source of Laverda expertise.... Cheers
  9. That's it in a nutshell....
  10. Heh he, I credit a CR125 motocrosser as being the bike that sorted me out..... Talk about a light switch, nothing till 7,500 then 20 hp all at once in 3000 rpm! Bloody thing only weighed a wee bit more than me at 80 something kilos too! Loved the thing! Cheers
  11. I can think of a few bikes I'd like as a second bike, but it'll never happen, so just me and the green one and I'm ok with that.... Cheers Ps I watched a review of a V35 Imola the other day and Father and son both loved it. You might be onto something Mick!
  12. Sell the Kawasaki.....
  13. Well done on the Coppa mate. I love the Pirelli Angel GT2 and am on my second set, doubt you'll be disappointed! Cheers
  14. Mate I too have driven round it and MY GOD you don't really get how steep and tight it is until you do. HUGE RESPECT for anybody who races ANYTHING at Bathurst. Cheers
  15. Matter o fact I have a Nescafe blend 43 in hand as we speak.... Don't mind a good espresso now and again but don't get too fired up about it all.
  16. Doc, a quid is slang for a pound in the UK.... I remember a pint of bitter could be had for less than one 40 or more years ago but reckon might be a bit more now! Cheers
  17. I'm leaning towards the relays too as had similar issue a while back. Starts fine runs for a bit then dies when given some throttle, hard to restart then runs for a bit longer.... I swapped relays round and cleaned / blew out any dust from the base and so far not happened since but of course now I've mentioned it.. Good luck with it mate.
  18. Gee maybe this is the start of this zombie apocalypse the morons keep bleating about.... They seem to have taken to the wheel already! Ps yeah no doubt it's worldwide and not just here.
  19. Mate, they are very very well made. They are also what they say WATERPROOF, only time I've had wet feet was when I had leathers tucked into the boots so the water ran down leathers and into the top of the boot. Put the wet weather pants over boots and no wet feet...simple. I've had mine for 8 years or so and still reckon they'll see me out..... Cheers
  20. I spend quite a bit of time on the roads here and am constantly appalled by the idiots I see every day.... Look forward to retirement and not having to spend as much time in Melbourne ( and I only go to the outer south eastern suburbs )!
  21. G'day Mick. Yeah mate, I've driven and ridden all over Oz too and Melbourne drivers are easily the worst. My mates in WA, workmates from NSW Qld and SA all think the same.... Add in the roadworks EVERYWHERE ( but not actually improving the roads ) and it's bloody ordinary! Cheers
  22. You know I forgot about the reversing camera and alarm systems.... Yeah, it's just typical of the crap attitude of today's drivers, and Melbourne is about the worst place in Oz for it. Cheers
  23. Bloody hell mate whatever happened to common sense eh..... I can understand and condone it IF there was significant damage but jeezuz that case should've been thrown out upon your neighbour making good any damage.... Gotta say I was ropable as I left the place but the more I thought/think about it I wonder if the arsehat who hit my bike actually realised what they'd done! But in this day and age and MELBOURNE I wouldn't be surprised if they knew about it!! Anyway, I'm just RAPT that the bike wasn't knocked down and damaged. Cheers
  24. G'day folk's. On my way home from the hospital after visiting Dad yesterday, I stopped in at the servos to grab a burger at Maccas ( late lunch ). So I park the bike in the car-park and in the middle of the bay as you do to avoid car doors etc and in I go. So 20 minutes or so later I come out and am doing up the jacket and about to put my helmet and gloves on and notice a couple walking round it and looking at the bike, then they notice me and come over ( I was about 20 metres away )and start telling me that some arsehole just backed into my bike and drove off never bothering to stop to see if any damage or whatever! Instant panic but what the fook, bike is still standing and can't seem to see any damage or sign of impact. The bloke followed me back to the bike and explained the shithead reversed back and nudged the front wheel pushing the bike back about 8 to 10 inches and showed me the scrape mark the side stand left on the concrete. Dumbfounded I quickly checked the bike over and thanked matey for telling me as would never have even noticed it or known. Talk about dodging a bullet! Anyways I gave her a bit o welly on the fun part ( well the part without any mobile chicanes - bugger ) of the road home, and no handling issues at all. Then when I got home gave her a good looking at and the only damage if you can even call it that is a 5 or 6 millimetre scrape on the very front of the front mudguard. It's not really even a scrape but just sorta pushed the paint back a little without breaking the surface of the paint. If matey hadn't told me about it I would've assumed that it was a stone chip when I eventually found it. So, from now on I'm gunna be parking the bike next to the bloody front door and not anywhere near where we share space with the imbeciles and their conveyances.... End of rant folk's but be wary of where you leave your bike eh! Cheers
