Mate, mine had a few er niggles at first which took a while to sort and gave me the shits at times! This was the era of Power Commanders to try and sort fueling issues as the ECU couldn't be altered directly back then. There were a few others too. But once sorted.... And this forum has been a godsend in that, she's a bike the like of no other and irreplaceable! Actually, even then I still loved the bloody thing as could always see the potential! Cheers

Forgot to mention V11 Sport in Green ..of course! Now that I think of it there was a V11 LeMans in Coppa Italia colours which was the best LeMans I've seen! Anyhoo, the V11 Range are definitely at the top of the tree as far as I'm concerned! Cheers

Yeah, I feel the same with my V11 Sport mate. I've owned it for 15 years or so now and still look forward to every ride and can just sit and look at it at times..... My tops.... The V11 Sport / Mk 1 LeMans / Mk 3 LeMans / 1200 Sport / V7 Sport ( original ) and the Griso if allows a sixth! Cheers

Mate, the rain stopped but temp stayed round 15 ish.... Perfect for a ride! But I got conned into taking the minister to the bi-annual Poowong market today, so the bike remains in the carport with her blanket.... bugger! At least the Burek ( Fried Turkish bread with mince and onion filling ) was great and a local band kept us entertained so it wasn't all bad.... Cheers

I've often thought that if I were able to have a second bike it'd be a big ( ish ) single. A 500 Bullet but they discontinued them so maybe a Himalayan 450 or even the newer 650 twin in teal which bears a passing resemblance to a bullet. Or a Triumph 400 single or a Vitpilen 401 ...I kinda like these especially in white! Any of these would be great for a wee blat round the back-roads here which are remarkably like UK country lanes / roads. All conjecture I'm afraid as the minister wouldn't have a bar of it..... Bit like mine ... Sulking under cover in the carport! I wasn't gunna ride in 40 degree heat last week so she'll have to wait till next one for a gallop. Thanks mate. Yep, I checked in one of our local bottle shops and plenty of Pinot Grigo but no Muscadet unfortunately. We do have a more specialsed bottle shop in town and a big chain store that carries international and more varieties closer to Melbourne, but with the temp hovering round the 30 degree mark and a nine year old granddaughter chomping at the bit to get home and into the pool, I had no choice/ say in the matter and had to head for home! Will try again soon ha ha . Cheers

My brother had a Torana ( same body shape as the LH here), but a six cylinder. A previous owner had replaced the gearbox with a 5 speed Toyota Celica unit and this was as quick if not slightly quicker off the mark than an SLR 5000 too.. The V8 would eat it once into it's stride of course. Cheers Guzzler Ps I think it was a Celica gearbox but definitely something similar if not.

Thanks mate. I think I've found a couple of places locally and will try and get a bottle to try as am now quite intrigued.... Yeah, I do normally prefer a red and a good robust Shiraz at that but also enjoy a delicate Pinot too. We get extremes of weather down here and when it's hot I turn to the Sauv. Blanc. As for Chardonnay ....No thanks! Although my neighbour a few years ago gave us a bottle of same which I thought was exceptional! It was a special vintage from his son's vineyard in the Yarra valley which he'd been sitting on for a few years, so now know how good it can be.... I think we're in for another 30 + deg day today so will drop into the bottle shop in Warragul later and see if I can find one to try. Cheers

Mate The weather here is nuts, whilst you're getting snow, we had 40 degrees yesterday and today (back to work arghhh) it's 18 and lots o rain....! Hope that wee weather window works out for you eh. I'm hoping my New Years ride might be Friday to the office or Sat to see Dad but if the heat arcs up again might have to wait till we get more stable weather. If that ever happens ha ha. Cheers
