  1. I see boxes of parts that I have no idea how they would fit together. Looks like a nice big Healy there. Looking forward to read how this bikes rides when it's back together.
  2. If it's not the relays it's the damn connectors. Spray the hell out of 'em with contact cleaner.
  3. You're a pro a Marty, in the Hunter Thompson vain. "When the going get's Weird, the Weird go Pro!"
  4. I've got to get some of this guy's music. He keeps bumping into my Pandora. Still awaiting some recommendations.
  5. He's one Okie I love and never saw. The master of less is more. And sometimes it takes more to do it right.

    V11 Fuel pump

There're generic fuel pumps for less than $100 at the auto parts store. I've lost the cross ref. You might query the site and see if you can find that info. I am intending this for bikes with external fuel pumps. $55 at MG Cycle http://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2491
  7. Dave, the only time I've ever seen that song performed live was by Jeff Beck. Amazing. Your bike looks amazing too. You're in the right place to keep it going.
  8. Marty, I'd like to share a Pabst with you. The national beer of Moto Guzzi riders.
  9. I suppose I'd ask, why were the cylinders, pistons and cam replaced? Many do like the 1200 sport (Breva), I'm not sure how it compares to the V11 engines. I suppose the cam and tuning would matter. Having said that, it looks pretty nice and there are a few bits of eye candy $$ on it. So considering all done to it, I suppose the builder/owner would take the step to sort it all out. I've done a lot of supposing.
  10. Chuck, I've got a Pabst with your name on it.
  11. Hot off the presses. That Grohl is really amazing. Saw him and the Foos at the David Letterman show with Tony Joe White. Seen the Stones a few times too. The last time here in OKC in a smaller arena.
  12. That's a great record. Mark's one guy I'd like to see. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. All this about pilots and planes reminds me of yesterday. I'd just epoxied that damn broken turn signal on my EV. When I wired it back on, none of the tail lights or signals worked. I was yelling mad. I checked the fuse, good. Put it back in, everything worked! Sprayed everything with contact cleaner (no CAIG $$). Damn fuse block. So I'm still bitching about it with my neighbor. He's a double retired Lt Col, B-52 pilot and FAA guy, always working on his BMW track car. There's a thing about engineers, pilots, doctors, they're always experts on anything. So Steve tells me to use dielectric grease. I told him that it was an insulator. He disagreed and said it was a conductor. That's when I mention some of Guzzi discussions. He replies that everyone on the internet is an "expert". Somehow I bring up Chuck from Indiana, then Brad, my last line of defense. Anyway this morning I'm dropping off the trash, I'm in my gym shorts ready to go and it's cold and just been raining. Steve comes up to me and says that it's true that dielectric grease really is an insulator. Before I was going to be roped into another 20 minute conversation, I told him I was cold and going to the gym. As he left, I "invited" him over for Pabst later in the afternoon. That'll keep him away for a while.
  13. Sorry, my bad. I did a search.
  14. Not sure where the Coltrane reference was listed here. But the Mrs ordered the record, "BlueTrain", I suppose Thursday night. It was delivered just now. I think about $10 for CD and shipping.
  15. I've been playing lots of Pandora recently. On most of my stations I've been getting lots of Tab Benios. Lots of blues. Anyone have a handle on him and what record to get?
  16. Condolences to Royal Family and our British friends. As an American, I've gotten some appreciation of respectful leaders over the last 4 years. Some moral authority to absorb the shocks, if you will.
  17. One of my share music buddies just sent me back a thumbdrive loaded with some Johnny W. I remember I have much of the vinyl buried in my closet. Johnny's geetar would blow that battery into a million pieces.
  18. What kind of person reads and posts a tech manual about batteries? Drink two (or 4) cocktails and put on Miles' "Kind of Blue". Now zone out. good night
  19. Tires. You never know when if one is defective until you ride or drive it. I've gotten defective or disappointing tires from every tire manufacturer at one time or another.
  20. I might've mentioned I picked up a new portable Slime air pump. It takes up more space that the old one. It has a simply lever chuck on it, which works much better given the air stem clearance issues with both Guzzis.
  21. From my experience those EV wheels have a tendency to leak. They seem to get a lot of build up on the lip after tire changes. Even when thoroughly cleaned they can sometime leak after the next mounting.
  22. Solve the mysteries of the motorcycle internet, like why is one cylinder hotter than the other? Why do the tires wear out on the left side first? What deficiencies can we blame on ethanol? Just don't mention countersteering or trail braking, all fightin' words.
