  1. Ha, no I wish it were. I think they did that on a few other year models. Not sure why. Maybe a safety visual highlight. I used to think it odd, but it grew on me.
  2. Very nice Skip. the Superveloce headlight ring does double duty as an homage to early Guzzi LeMans
  3. The Porsche speedo was probably accurate, if the tires were stock.
  4. As I thought yours was. I don't believe there were many 'chin pad' tanks without the actual black soft pad, but thought it worth a mention.. so averting/creating confusion. I can't say I've seen any other painted chin pad tanks other than on the Tenni. May be exclusive though I've seen several Tenni pictured with the black pad. Curious
  5. just to clarify.. some (mine) of the 'chin pad' tanks came with no pad. Still a removable piece, only plastic and painted color of the tank.
  6. I'm a Yes fan. Awaken is a pretty good Yes tribute band. More here https://awakentheband.com/live
  7. and check the rubbers for dry rot cracks. the right one is suspect. get the left one reinstalled and do the "spray to reveal leaks" test on both
  8. This Moto Studio? https://moto-studio.com/collections/builds Some really nice stuff there. Do keep us in the loop with your build and whatever else you want to share. The spine frame is a great 'palette' for customs. Interchangeable or adaptable parts is always an interesting subject. Welcome to the Forum Max77
  9. Just throwing it out there, I *rarely* use this but for extreme heat/humidity riding. A Thor impact rig se. It's made, I think, to be worn over a light shirt when moto racing but I wear it as an undergarment with a just loose jersey over. I have worn it alone under the Aerostich. Basically just armor laced together with a thin mesh shirt. Close to being shirtless in the wind, but armored up. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005CN5IX4/ref=cm_sw_r_pi_dp_y0-qvb0N7SVQ5
  10. The "Sport" was the base model. "Cafe Sport" was uniquely accessorized special. '04 and maybe '05.
  11. HST has a spot in my memories as well. I've read all his books and a few other writings, including accounts of him by others. Questionable motives, questionable methods. I'll just say that I think he was a very, very good writer. Steadman is an original master. The 96 CR was/is my fav
  12. “There are some things nobody needs in this world, and a bright-red, hunch-back, warp-speed 900cc cafe racer is one of them—but I want one anyway, and on some days I actually believe I need one. That is why they are dangerous.” Song of the Sausage Creature. Hunter S Thompson. and the great Ralph Steadman
  13. agree. It's pleasant in the sweepers though. Very stable. Calming
  14. On the bike I still have I used copper plumbing bends and =can't recall what type hose= but it has lasted awhile now. Use your best judgement on what will tolerate oil. Many say don't use auto heater hose. I made mine when those preformed replacements were $40.+
  15. I've had 4 6speed V11. A 2000, 2X 2002, and an 03. All had crank vent tubes in various stages of disintegration. They aren't made to handle the heat and oil mix. At least the oem's weren't. Leaks often presented dripping onto the center of the crossover. this one. https://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=71&products_id=1186
  16. That be the motor my dad used in the minibike built for a 14 y/o using a frame just like this
  17. yeah, the pic was in the fall and I got out in early May. The mop was genetic 😉
