  1. There’s /\ (New ones, in the uk and poss eu??)
  2. “Got your safety gear Fred?” “I’ve got my pipe and flat cap!” “Jolly good! Pip pip!” https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6m8PmMQK76s&feature=youtu.be
  3. “His goofy jabber doesn’t inspire confidence” Haa! Indeed! As a brit i find him amusing- reminds me of that stereotyped ‘tv-advert-american-used-car-salesman’ : “I’m Manic Marv and I’m mad for low low prices etc etc..”
  4. I happened across thos video referring to seafoam recently- seems to advise against the stuff: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gg9ppeUMpK4
  5. Cheers fellas- i couldn’t think of an alternative bike that appealed as much as the v11! I have my dream bike, and i rode it today. x
  6. As happens i’ve just popped a shot of Wynn’s injector cleaner in mine. Thought she’d appreciate it...??
  7. Seems like a spare worth having! Any other uk owners interested?
  8. Are there plans in place for a uk consignment?
  9. Took her in for the MOT today- she’s been laid up after sliding down the road in October: ‘It’s a write off i’m afraid sir’ ‘Not while i have my strength it isn’t!” Quickest mot ever. ‘No problems there- all perfect- it’s a nice machine’. So i’ve spent most of the day riding about in the p*ss*ng rain, chuckling at the fruity rort from the lovely carbon mistral cans. Write off indeed... how dare you...
  10. "sugru?" Sorry! Just my little joke, sugru is a mouldable, setting putty stuff. Thought it’d be amusing to imagine someone performing port-alteration-work with it. I was wrong. Apologies.
  11. To update: Finally fitted speedbleeders (on the clutch and rear brake) today. These are just great. Can’t recommend them enough. No more rear brake groaning, pretty certain the lines are purged of air, nice and firm. Got to be right up there amongst my favourite mods so far! As mentioned above: Postage to uk was really quick. Oh and you need to file down the pointy end or it’ll bottom out before threading in.
  12. Me! Me! I’m just off out to buy some sugru!
  13. I kind of agree the video’s misleading somewhat. We don’t know if the rider was momentarily distracted or whatever? Anything can happen when you’re riding and there’s can be precious time to correct. I know from personal experience that when things go ‘a bit wrong’ they can do so far quicker than a person can reasonably react (as well as react in the right way). But oh my word that vid gives me the willies..
  14. Cracked intake rubbers?
  15. Heh, yep, i don’t like (and she don’t like) leaving her stationary for longer than a 3 week or so. Just putting her back together after an accident- next week is phoenix time! And mot time.. and tax time... sweet + sour eh?
  16. Incidentally, it’s the shite fuel sitting in all the gubbins that worries me most about extended lay-ups- gum ere, gum theyre, fuel tank getting even bigger than it already is.....-
  17. So what’re we talking with operating temperature- for the guzz specifically? 5 mins idle ish?
  18. Hellyers Road 10 year old single malt from Tasmania - most southerly state of Australia Sent from my SM-T815Y using Tapatalk Never seen a Hellyers in the flesh- but i bet their pinot noir finish is tasty!
  19. Ardmore plays a significant part in the Teachers blend i believe.

    TIME FOR A DIET?

Agreed. I do think that while the v11 is on the heavy side, it handles really nicely. I have no complaints! I’ve swapped bikes whilst touring with my mate + his triumph speed four a couple of times, which was lauded as being a superb handling machine- the guzz is absolutely fine, even in that company, imho. Reckon if i was serious about losing weight i’d save up (a lot!) and swap the wheels for marvics or dymags.
  21. I’ve had some lovely a’bunadh’s, quite enjoy them ‘as is’ but nowt wrong with a wee drop of water if Sir prefers. My post-new-years drams include Bowmore no.1, Glenfarclas 15yo, a Midleton Very Rare i got as a burpday present, and a Pig’s Nose blend i got free with some plastering supplies. They’re all highly quaffable, mustn’t grumble!
  22. Mmm, plus v11 rebuilds sometimes claim alarming weight-loss figures (“Yea, we drained the lead out of the sub frame- saved about 47 kilos”). Looks like they retained the oe bremblub wheels and bevel.... How much can the sub frame possible weigh anyway? And seeing as i’m feeling critical: it needs a mudguard.
  23. A really real v11 rebuild! And such a pretty one! http://www.returnofthecaferacers.com/2017/03/motoguzzi-v11-caferacer.html
  24. Flat battery my arse! Charged up on the optimate double quick... back to the bike, ignition, relay click, pump primes, neutral light on.... nowt! Hmmmmmm, what the hell? Fuses check, relays swapped, same result.. Damnit i’m baffled... head scratcher indeed! Then i members... i pulled the feed to the starter last week for easier replacement of the gearshifter... haa! And doh! And vrooomm! Every day’s a soap opera....
