  1. I’d guess brake drag too- i melted the anodising off my oe rear disc at the scotch guzzi rally t’other year!
  2. Can be a pig to remove that bearing... still makes me shudder when i see a cold chisel..
  3. If i remember, she leans to the right.
  4. Ace, love those panniers & paintjob!
  5. Seems like you could swing it either way- there’s guys running pods on here and also plenty of info on stock set-up so happy days! Hope you get it sorted, mine’s a later model with internal fuely bits but i wonder if the air-boxes are the same?? There’s a few runs of cables/pipeses over the spine, all of which could foul the box...
  6. Those centauros.... damn. They ugly- is it just in pictures? Or are they like that in person...? A fine v11 now. That’s some elegant design work. Curvy in alll the right places.. mmmm
  7. Hmm, what about a large washer against the shift-arm?

    Silencers

Hello hello, due to blind taxi drivers i have a rhs Mivv silencer and a lhs Mistral low titanium silencer in my garage that either need new partners or selling on to someone who can pair em up. Both in good condition. Anyone have the opposites?
  9. Holy tits! I would not mess with that young lassie. Reckon I might order a GB ‘guard. To be honest, I’d love if it extended rearwards much further- I hate wiping down the lights and wasp-tail etc after a ride. Moan moan moany moan..... And yes, if they’re 230 good english pounds to the uk, 300 yankee units to the us sounds about right.
  10. What about a second hand v11 motor? They crop up every now and then
  11. The bracket shouldn’t break- it’s a fairly hefty chunk o metal. The sump flange however....
  12. Every time i remove the rear wheel i look at (and clean) that swinging arm I think “weird!” but then “Kinda pretty, shame it’s covered up”
  13. I’d like one too- did you get sorted? The gb ones are £230 delivered to the uk.
  14. I refitted my crash damaged mivvs t’other week, just for a quick ride likes, just to remember how they sound... Ho. Ly. Crap. So so loud. So deep and raspy and gorgeous... So unsociable... So small ear-bones-damaging... Hard and angry on the acceleration- deep, hollow poppling reverb on the overrun. Beautiful. But bad. Naughty bad. Gave me a sore face from grinnin like a loon
  15. +1 ^ When i’ve tuned/tinkered with my v11 i’ve found the air screws play a significant part in getting her running well.
  16. Raceco valve settings = 0.15 intake and 0.20 exhaust
  17. Are your connections to tye starter motor good?
  18. Gosh the iti’s seem so fragile, better off with a quality aftermarket item- there’s loads to choose from thankfully
  19. I would agree in part- i’ve put a hyperpro shock on mine, which is fine, but when i took my pal’s speed four for a spin, which is by no means a new machine, the finesse of his suspension compared to mine was most noticable.
  20. That’s interesting as the marzy front end is... adequate
  21. Yeah funnily enough i only recently saw the “torque from housing side” info and initially thought ‘Oh no! But i’ve been tightening the nut side!’ Then i realised that i’ve had that wheel off dozens of times and never had a problem. And it’s definitely easier to push down to tighten! Otherwise you’d be lifting the bike off the stand?!
