without asking, it's 100% guaranteed to not get what you're looking for...

Sort of like duck hunting. You never get the bird you don't shoot at.

indeed mate.  i'm throwing it out there to see what's around, but evidently the Guzzi gang thinks we're comedians today.

i thought perhaps there might be a retailer who might make the valve covers or something, an aftermarket company?  @Pressureangle mentioned anodising or powder coating, so those are good tips.  the valve covers can be powder coating easily and reliably?

i did find half of what i was looking for however.

@fastaussieMy Griso valve covers have been powder coated black by the previous owner.  They still look great. I assume red would be the same.

The best methodology for putting Titanio canisters, grey Ballabio frame sideplates, and Rosso Mandello valve covers on your LeMans is to buy all those V11, rearrange the parts to your liking and keep them all.  :mg:   :sun:

Seriously, let's ask the other inmates on the ward if that sounds crazy.

Just a thought. I have a set of covers from a 2003 Rosso Corsa. They are somewhat faded, as are many of the ones in photos I have seen. The color seems 'off' from what was possibly intended anyway. Was it intended to be the same as the Mandello tank? My point is, not unlike many of the (varying) red side plates, the paint or anodizing is often unreliable. If you can't find fairly NOS, I would get 'whatever' color parts and have them done to suit.

I'm not near my bike right now, so no close ups, however the P.O. powder coated the valve covers and side plates on my 02 Le Mans. It's a darker red and really makes the bike pop IMHO. I think if you took the photo to a good powder coating shop they could copy it.

that is exactly what i want to do.  i want to have the valve covers changed to red, and the footpeg plate holders to the dark matte silver colour.  so the valve covers would be the only thing red on the bike, and pop, like you said...

I apologize if I was unclear in my reply. I was suggesting that the OP take the closeup picture of the valve cover in post #1 to a experienced powder coating shop to see how close they could match it. I was not suggesting he take the picture of my bike to do so. I live in a smallish town and there are two excellent shops that do this type of work close by. I don't know why you found this funny? Please explain.

I think I have an extra set of frame plates and valve covers if you want to take them to a powder-coater or painter. I could sell them to you, or you could give me back your take-offs after you swap in the painted ones. We are only 100 miles apart.

I normally web search the part number. For example this turned up for GU01415880 https://cadrecycle.com/product/lh-rear-fork-plate-cafe-sport/

I'm not sure how many models had grey or how many different greys they made.

Valve covers. I believe the color you want came standard on the NC and the RC. Also looks like RM but I can't be sure. That's potentially a few p/n's to look for.
