my first thought is gas. either nasty or water. depending on the level of neglect, could just be condensation. (cuz where you live) If it's been awhile you may want to drain and flush the tank.

That's the best looking Tenni deal I've seen in recent memory. $6k / 11k mi. and looks well kept. The clutch swap shouldn't matter. If the owner isn't sure then it likely has not been addressed. Buy it - fix it.

I normally web search the part number. For example this turned up for GU01415880 https://cadrecycle.com/product/lh-rear-fork-plate-cafe-sport/ I'm not sure how many models had grey or how many different greys they made. Valve covers. I believe the color you want came standard on the NC and the RC. Also looks like RM but I can't be sure. That's potentially a few p/n's to look for.

and very old joke. I'm in Indiana for reference. Describing a man's state of inebriation, hangover, or plain old wastedness: "his eyes looked like a Kentucky road map" It's a good descriptor for eyes, or Kentucky roads.
