  1. Got to ride the Lemans today after a month. She was pissed. Typical Italian qualms. Hard start, let out a drop of oil from the crank, then when I went off the speedo danced for a mile. After that mile though she got over it and hammered the Tucson hills. Never let a V11 sit. Vindictive lil b!tch...🤣🤣🤣

  4. I don’t think the cap failure came first, but IDK. I was thinking pure fastener failure, but now consider the impact may have predisposed that. No doubt, crossing the pinch bolt threads is both common and potentially disastrous. While I could, once again, be accused of overthinking this, the failure was serious enough to warrant careful review and consideration. If my posts help one other rider avoid a come-apart, then we have success.

  5. Can you weld a 17mm nut to it then heave on the nut. Usually work as the heat from the weld loosens things. And of course that spilt fuel will help.

  6. Yeah, my electric impact gun made the key nice and round.... These things are funny, during the break in/re-torque of the heads on my T3 I purposely didn’t snug these plugs up tight. Sure enough when it came time to remove them they were next to impossible....

  7. ECU56 is the speedo sensor. Has it been wet where you are or have you recently washed the bike? Early sensors were prone to water intrusion at the join between the cable and the 'Block'. If you remove it and dry it with a hairdryer and then seal around the join with silastic it may solve the issue. If not buy a new one. They aren't terrifically spendy. Diagnostic code for Griso is 12425. pete

  12. OK. I'd appreciate to know a little more about wheel bearings. It strikes me every time you put a tire on a bike, you can inspect and service the wheel bearings and should be good to go to the next tire change. Am I wrong? I know I had a wheel bearing fail on my 5th Wheel travel trailer, that was a total disaster.

  14. I wired in a usb point so I can put a charge on my phone if needed (8 quid off ebay). These fancy modern phones are ace- ultimate back-up. Don't smoke any more but something tells me that if I did have an un-fixable break down, I'd want one.
