  1. You think? try getting any satisfaction from ebay after being scammed by a seller that sells thousands of items every year. As a buyer/seller with 20 years on ebay and a 100% buying and selling record without even 1 neutral feedback they just fobbed me off even after I proved they were scamming overseas buyers with their own feedback data. 3. BTDT . If you get something from across the water & want to return it , post it for sale here and try to sell it . If it doesn't sell , put it in a box and keep it . I wiped my butt on about $800 worth of Guzzi stuff going back to Mandello del Lario .

  5. Given the exponential increase in the price of used motorcycles over the past couple years, I'd expect to see a similar curve in motorcycle tire sales. If Goodyear has them, it means they're staying. Good thing too, if I ever get this Norton finished. Or started.

  7. Now there is a debatable topic, which has been debated fully. Search around. Some go with the standard twin-plate that was OEM on most V11s. Others have found RAM single-plate parts that work. But if it was me, I would just run it till it wears out, then inspect everything - and if the flywheel looked good, I'd just replace the friction parts. And since this is a "for sale" topic, I would not let the single plate setup deter any serious buyer. It looks to be a fine machine with low miles.

  8. Instead of replacing a damaged OEM riders foot peg at the tune of $52.49 US, I decided to adapt a pair of rider pegs from a 04' Buell Lighting for about $40.00 US. What I liked about the pegs is they have about a 1" plus drop to them. Parts Needed from HD dealer: N0520.1AD, Foot peg Assembly, Rider LH, S, $12.80 US N0521.1AD, Foot peg Assembly, Rider RH, S, $12.80 US C0249.02A8, Spring Rider, Foot peg, RH, $1.95 US C0250.02A8, Spring Rider, Foot peg, LH, $1.95 US C0235.02A8, Pin, Foot peg, (2EA req.), $7.00 US (Optional) N0425.02A8, "E" Ring, Foot peg, (2EA req.), $4.20 US (Optional) Bushing material Tools Needed: Standard Guzzi stuff Caliper/micrometer Bench grinder Drill (Optional) I'm not sure I'll keep the OEM "Hero" spike but will make that determination once I get my bike back on the road. Projects took about 3 hours due to learning curve and head scratching but if your handy and have the tools, 1.5 hours tops. I kept stock peg mounting brackets and did not mod them in case I want to revert to stock (If you use the HD pins, you will have to drill the boss larger.). The biggest headache in this project is grinding/milling the Buell pegs to fit the stock width. Stock peg width is ~22.40mm and the Buell pegs are ~24.60mm so some cutting is necessary. I used a bench grinder to work both sides of the Buell peg (used the side of the wheel for large flat surface) to get it down to the ~22.40mm required to fit into the stock mount. I'm sure there are better tools to do this but the side of the grinder wheel worked fine (leather gloves required!) grinder worked fine... take your time, and keep surfaces flat and parallel. Once trimmed to fit (width only!), I chose to use the stock pins and "E" clip as not to drill out the stock mounts for the buell pins which are fat (optional). The inside pin diameter of the buell peg is much larger than the Guzzi, I used a small piece of lighting conduit, cut to ~22.40mm width and used the buell spring instead of the tiny MG spring. If you do not use a bushing, the peg will be loose around the pin. I've got more pictures but not sure how to post a couple at a time so if you have question let me know, remember I have not ridden it yet due to other work being done but I think it will be perfect, the pegs are tight (grind slowly), a little wider than OEM, down an inch or so and slightly Aft of original position. I know it will work for me, I've been sudying our erg options (Centauro, 15.00 relocation kit, etc) and think this will meet my needs.

  9. I had a set...now I have zero point five set My bike tipped over a while back and cracked one in half. Oh well. Good: nice foot position- a little down and back. They look good. Bad: a bit wider (not much but definitely wider), the feelers are goofy looking (no big deal, take 'em off) and you'll need to move your foot to shift. I didn't like this last bit because I lost some control on the machine, so I made a set of brake/shifter levers. Well, now I'm back to the 'evoluzione' relocation kit because I'm a wingnut. At least the bike is ok. They were worth it as an experiment, and I'm happy I tried, but I don't think I'm going to do them again. I'll stick with the relo kit. If you want a (free) left hand side, send me an email. J

  10. Here is the thread that ran last year re. Buell Lighting pegs. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...topic=3391&st=0 Here is a thread that has/had them for sale if your not a do-it-yourselfer. Also some other welldone refinements in design or pegs and foot gear http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...338entry37338 might be other stuff, just try the search engine..

  11. I also find the Buell footpeg solution to work very well, especially after adjusting the brake and clutch levers to lower settings. The extra 1+ inches of legroom was just what I needed (along with MPH risers and Rich Maund seat)! I also would not go back to stock. It's the 50+ body thing! Joe

  12. Still using mine and have no real issues. Only mild complaint is there is a little more foot movement to do the rear break and shift levers. I find myself lifting my foot to the original bracket height when enjoying spirited driving. I did adjust them a little but there is only so much adjustment in v11 foot gear. As far as the long hauls, defiantly more relaxed for this 50 y/o carcass. I won’t be going back... I know I would be happier with Centauro foot gear, both pegs and linkages but the cost to go that route is more than I care spend and they are not as elegant as the v-11's. B/L; It’s a good compromise. If I ever want to go back, it is a 10 minute affair with no change to OEM stuff. Of course I am a little partial to the idea to start with
