  1. link now goes to an Eldo with (from the add) INCLUDES LIFETIME POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. wonder how factual that is?
  2. might try asking at wildguzzi.com, it's a broader audience over there.
  3. So during those long cold winters in Minnesota your battery does just fine in the spring? My garage is heated.. It's really nice on those days I must to use a car (pre-warmed) because it's sub-zero outside, so I have not used a tender for years.. and fully expect my DR to start on Jan 1 for the I-cycle derby (it's been going on continuously for 69 years) I have 3 or more tenders on a shelf if I ever need one, they came with bikes I've bought. hardly any snow last year, 9 above zero in 2011
  4. If the charging system on your bike is working properly (keeping the battery fully charged, or nearly so), then using a tender all the time is not necessary and can actually get you into trouble. It will pretty much insure that your bike will start every time......when at home. When you DO reach the point where your battery is worn out, however, it will start at home but then won't at the other end of your trip. It is MUCH better to have the weak battery show up at home rather than out on the road. Unless your charging system is not working right or all of your rides are really short, constant use of a tender does little or nothing to extend your battery life.

    ECU questions.

accept you don't have a crank sensor, #7 ...cam sensor only on the later ECU.
  6. find an upholstery shop and get their advice, they can probably pop a corner off to look inside . best to get some expert advice. Once you pull it off yourself it might not be that easy to fix.. from the pic, it's not that bad and I'd just leave it as is.. give it character.
  7. Suede? that's what to brochure called it.
  8. got a link?
  9. Pretty sure that's all Guzzi offered and it covers all the 02-07 spine frames. Do you have Guzziology? that book might detail any differences.
  10. http://thisoldtractor.com/mg_manuals/spare_parts_catalog_v11_lemans_2002-07.pdf
  11. 2 years on.. still Dylan, now SunRa, Rasaan Roland Kirk, Zappa, Tinariwen, Ali Farka Toure.
  12. just a note, Bob Dylan Bootleg 13 was released about 2 weeks ago.. covers the Jesus years '79-81, all recordings from live shows. Pretty good.. some nice bluesy organ a great guitar players (Carlos Santana, Fred Tackett —) some wonderful gospel singers, and the great Jim Keltner on drums.
  13. Have you put on Wildguzzi? I will.
  14. there's also this one nearby, https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/wsh/mcy/d/2003-moto-guzzi-v11-cafe/6358296658.html I'm not too jazzed about the price and it looks half painted with the black in front and red back.. does that look like stock colors for a '03 Sport?
  15. "the Golden Spruce".. nothing to do with motors tho.
  16. Riding the Edge, Dave Barr rode a clapped out 72 Harley 83,000 miles RTW with two artificial legs.. definition of Iron Man. https://www.horizonsunlimited.com/davebarr/
  17. might need a small adjustment to the "trim", you need software to do that.
  18. no but he offered a test ride on Saturday. still I don't trust the mileage so keep looking, Nero Corsa anyone?
  19. Looked a little ratty in person. and like it was ridden hard.. I don't believe/trust the mileage either, the motor slightly dirty with oil. they should have tried to clean it up. I won't judge if the breather works that way but it sure looks funky. had bar risers that were slightly tweaked, maybe a tip over. rim painted and it's flaking off..duct tape around the headlight ring.. salesman says he's friends with the owner who was not the original owner. so at least 2 owners..again skeptical of the mileage. He doesn't have the airbox or any other pieces. It did have a roper plate ! glad I looked but not for me..
  20. I better get over to St Paul and look it over.
  21. this one looks like the header crossover was eliminated? is that an Ohlins shock? what mufflers are on it? https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/wsh/mcd/d/2004-moto-guzzi-ballabio-v11/6339035798.html
  22. I know most if not all the positives of a V11 but what are the con's of a 2004 Moto Guzzi Ballabio? I like the bars over clip ons to start, not too jazzed about the fairing way out front but could live with it. this one no where near as pretty as the 2002 red Lemans I had but I could live with it. one negative I've heard of is the ITI(?)gauges..
  23. apparently written in 2000 since he rode a 2000 V11 sport and does not mention the Lemans version at all.. plus he called it "new".
