What is the voltage at the battery key off? At idle ? At a couple thousand RPM?
-
Through the same Fuse->Relay->Switch as the meeeepers?

Testimony to our solid, steadfast, and caring community that a guy comes on terribly frustrated and ready to bail and people all over the world jump in to help him fix it and stay on . . .

Which of your V11 are you installing the white face Veglia? And, will you keep your original warning light center console ?
-
That's what I resigned myself to. Along with the flashing brake LED and LED headlamp unit.

Relay #5 (FI) is certainly the high draw relay. I recall Kiwi_Roy (our trusted Wire-Nut and Resident Sparky!) finding 22.5 amps on that NO contact. I am wondering, at my Sport's mileage, if the original fuel pump, mesh screen in the petcock and screen in the regulator are all adding up to additional draw on the circuit? Add to that, time for a fuel filter change . . . Also, my total lack of understanding how much amperage coils draw (surprised me!) and how to know when to freshen the coils. Can they draw more and more amperage as they age?

My bad- I should have zoomed in on the cans to see they are not the original LaFranconi. Nice that it has been ridden and looked after. Seems the ones that have sat and sat and sat have a lot of needs.

I think I better keep dancing with the *somewhat* heavy, but shapely girl with the (Pirelli) high heels. Anything lighter, and faster, is going to make me look slow and stupid just that much quicker . . .

What kills High Current OMRON? Regulator? Grounding? Battery charging?

Under 4000rpm is like stepping on the toes of your Tango partner. 5000 to 6000+ is pure aria ! (Especially with some freer flowing canisters . . .)

I've long endured people saying the V11 is a heavy bike. Sure, it's no SuperMotard. When asked, I say that it's out of gas at 500 pounds. My last liter bike weighed 650, so I'm feeling like I have wings on my boots . . .

I try to keep mine at-the-ready . . .

That s a really early build V11 Sport (finned steel header flanges). What is the build date on the left headstock plate, jetboy?

Those are not the original relays, but you can do better. Go to the “How to...” subforum and open the “Best Relay” thread. The last few posts link a source for Omron High Current relays. The reset knob screws on with a left hand thread. Maybe a little blue Loctite to keep it there. Best thing I’ve found for the vibration is a complete tune-up with meticulous throttle body balance. See “Decent Tune-up” in How To for a starting point. Enjoy your “new” Sport and welcome!

I just refitted my clapped out linkage rod with a "younger one" and it tightened up the connection. The looseness was all in the ball connector.(Not on the left "white knob" side.) Gotta get-me one o' them Benz thangs . . .

Locky now has a dedicated thread here on V11LeMans.com, courtesy of member: Swooshdave prompting the distracted Moderator to make it happen. Best regards, Locky! Keep us up on your progress and concerns. I will think it a success when the images of your Lemans at the Isle of Man post!

3.1 lbs each! . . . pretty sure your LaFranchoni are 10 lbs each. Maybe more, since they added the carbon fiber wrap for that "lightweight look" . . .
-
Open crossover = flamethrower! What fun . . . Wait til you get some proper canisters. Aren't those cf wrapped factory LaFranconi?

That (matching color) shop chair signifies all of us who have sat in front of our bike for hours in the throes of admiration . . . (Sheesh: One-of-a-Kind-Rosso-Mandello-Magni-Scura!)

Oh, and BTW, the O-ring I used is #112, according to my notes.
-
Do both your V11 have separate left and right turn indicators in the center Warning Light console?
-
@r3datoom9, That would be great! The reardrive I have from your V11 is in GREAT shape! (It would be gstallons looking for the clip-ons . . .)

So, yeah it's a Viton O-ring seal and the spacer is to set the timing (it's not really a gasket). They commonly get loose and need to be snugged up. Sometimes that stops the weep, but really common for the O-ring to harden and flatten out. Mne also leaked through the wire and I JBWelded it . . .
