  1. Search Tutorial in "Motha of all V11 Forums" Hope that helps!
  2. You have come to the right place! While we pass the Kool-Aid around daily, this community is really honest about the things that V11 need and the various ways to approach them. I remember a period article saying (the V11) was a (fine bike), but would require some "owner attention." Indeed so, but once fettled these are great machines. What color is the '02 you're looking at?

    V11 Rider comfort

Yah - don't miss one of my all-time favorite fotoguzzi vids! Moto Guzzi Fall Colors
  4. A shock/spring change is going to make such a HUGE difference for you! (Re-set your "sags!") Is Öhlins, once again, available for the V11?

  6. So, bones, I'm thinking the power feed to the relay Pete is suggesting you would have to add. That is why you won't see it on the wring diagram.

    Old V11 Article

Yah - the early Sports (and Rosso Mandello) have compression on the left and rebound on the right. Points off for the author saying the frame dates back 30 years. Not so - the spine fame came in with the Daytona (1992?) I do enjoy the old write-ups and have not seen that one. What magazine was that in?
  8. A lot of V11 shifting troubles have been sorted by fettling the foot shift lever, making sure it isn't contacting the "pork chop", changing gearoil, and bleeding the clutch fluid. All worth trying! That said, it would be good to know the early, faulty sliding dogs have been changed in the recall. When mine played up, it wasn't just 3rd, but worst in the lowest gear changes.
  9. Thanks for that. I never thought of it that way and it makes perfect sense!

    Autumn 2014

That is a darling photo of a beautiful motorcycle!
  11. Actually, the photo archives of the earliest (2003) Spine Raid are lost to Forum Reconstruction. Bill, you aren't holding some pictorial evidence of that first foray to the Athens Super8? (We started out staying at some really classy places . . .
  12. Look on the swing arm - there are several labels added there that are not on the European vehicles. I cannot remember if you have to remove the "hugger" inner fender to view them.
  13. Oi, the likes of KTM are going to great lengths to electronically control front wheel loft. V11 has got it built in!
  14. "Just Jane!" I love that the V11 has *roughly* the same power-to-weight ratio of a P-51 Mustang. If you just happen to have one in silver with a red frame and some checkerboard motif, so much the better!
  15. The V11 can be coaxed into a high front carry; it's the landing that could bust the left rear frame connection off the top of gearcase. It's been reported more than once . . . This prompted me to add the center frame brace that was common to the Sport 1100, but makes fussing about in that area quite difficult.
  16. Yeah, I don't see those lamp sockets in the diagram. maybe they're part of the speedo & tach assemblies? I remember pre-repairing mine with JBWeld to keep them from coming apart. Jetdoc, Can you repair yours? What year is your V11 (white face Veglia or black face ITI)?
  17. Wow, that's scary; a video from an early Spine Raid.
  18. Scud's LeMans has shortened canisters, but I think he said they came that way from the PO: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18967&p=204394
  19. rossi, do have another link that goes straight to the actual diagram?
  20. +1 . . . Martin, you figure you could handle the standard tune-up? It's likely to clear up much of your trouble . . .
  21. A picture's worth some thousands of words; "So, a Norge, a Boxer, and a John Deere show up at a lodge in the mountains . . . "
  22. The right exhaust on the V11 is further out on the right to clear the shaft drive complex. A lot of the "high pipe exhaust", like the factory "Titanium" tuck back in at the top and look pretty symmetrical.
