  1. + 1 on getting the correct spring rates and setting an "appropriate" sag; raising the rear and weighting the front is good medicine! Just to throw in a little RedFrame voodoo, peer up under your lower triple clamp and find the part number . . . ?
  2. What a cool plan! Good posts above on your questions (you may think of a few others between now and the 7th!) I suppose if I were to take an unknown-quantity V11 for a long ride, I'd tighten the battery terminals and press in a pocket full (5) of 5-pin OMRON relays before getting on . . .
  3. Belgian gypsy music! (Who's that on the Guzzi blowing through at the end?) Vaya Con Dios: Neh Nah Nah Nah!
  4. So, it looks like this is not a Titanium/Racing ECU. 3D02V59G is the original V11 map. What is "C7?"
  5. It is member Belfastguzzi that detailed the best threads on this pawl spring business. Search his posts with the advanced searching . . . . the pictures in the thread have likely expired, but the content is superb. Here's BFG's thread in FAQ (not sure the status on the pictures).
  6. That certainly confirms that the TPS cannot be set at baseline through the ECU, but requires voltage measurement at the TPS itself. Thanks, again, Camn! Camn's observation is confirmed. While the voltages at idle are very similar (+/- 0.001 mV), at the 150mV baseline at the TPS through the Casper breakout harness and a DVOM, guzzidiag reads the throttle voltage 0.000. I'm thinking a new "tune-up" thread is forthcoming based upon these new tools and developments.
  7. Reading an ECU from a 2003 Rosso Corsa with guzzidiag populates the ECU information with: IAW 15M PF3C 61601.045.00 3D02V59G Yet, the ECU itself is labeled: IAW 15M. C7 61601.045.00 I don't see a selection in the drop down for the "titanium ECU." Is that what this "C7" represents?
  8. My Brembo rebuild kit came from Moto International in Seattle, Washington, USA (Oct. 2008) for a 12 mm cylinder (at that time 32US$): "TA110436292 M/C kit, 12mm RECT/REMOTE " Hope that helps . . .
  9. Agreed on this, no doubt. Very important that when the rear caliper is bled (regularly) that the caliper is removed and the bleeder rotated topside.
  10. Brembo pads or others (more aggressive)?
  11. +1 there, again! American Motorcyclist Association
  12. Looks like something Carroll Shelby would have had the boys do on a Cobra at Sebring . . .
  13. +1 on the AMA. Their Road Service is second to none. I've seen it in the field over the years helping friends out of tight spots. The clincher: for the cost of membership, the Road Service covers my bikes, my passenger cars, and my son's car while he's away at college. Last month's magazine had a delightful article about riding through New Zealand - made me think of dd ("dangerous") and long for a journey . . . On top of the political action: Awesome!
  14. And don't miss the Black Sport just listed by blacklist in classifieds: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19149&do=findComment&comment=205774
  15. How novel . . . wait . . . all the parties round these parts are redneck themed . . .
  16. I looked, but could not find it. Link?
  17. And looks right racy! Does the cap unscrew and you have to set it down somewhere while fueling?
  18. That certainly confirms that the TPS cannot be set at baseline through the ECU, but requires voltage measurement at the TPS itself. Thanks, again, Camn!
  19. Wait: "363 of 650?" Rosso Mandello were numbered through 300 and another 300 built but not numbered . . . Scura were numbered?
  20. Eleventh South'n Spine Raid Theme Song: (thanks, Jaap!) http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18925&p=205474
  21. Casper TPS harness came really quickly. I tucked the yellow wire in and added shielded bullet connectors to easily clip on a DVOM, red for positive (nero/viola or purple/black wire) and black for negative (viola or purple wire). Pictured next to my "backprobing instruments" Looking forward to comparing voltages at the TPS to that seen in the ECU through guzzidiag.
