  1. V11 cafe sport has the IAW15 M Rc ECU instead of the IAW 15M that comes with the ti kit. Difference is that it reads the lambda sensor, so might mess things when the ti map offers more fuel but the sensor tells the ECU that AF ratio is high- tries to keep CO close to 1% Ti ecu map needs CO close to 4% to work properly (adhusted with trim level through axone or other software) I would say go one step at a time get the ti cans and use them with standard ECU map for a time -check if it goes lean then maybe try the ti map if not satisfied think I have read somewhere that a resistance attached to the lambda fools the ECU to offer max fuel but not sure where or if I describe it right
  2. Single injection body looks smart not any sync of bodies anymore though millepercento had it first with Alba
  3. Good news damage or no damage it is back home.
  4. Side stand valve? OK? Fuel pump does not operate if that valve is faulty I would check the pump operation giving + - from battery with external cables. but I am not an expert. :!:
  5. By locomotives guess he means the Guzzi maybe the right product for us
  6. Maybe welding it like LemanI is the right way after all. I always disassemble the whole thing, two more screws than leaving one side on. Maybe
  7. ..because it has a flying eagle on the tank, instead of a half broken wing
  8. V11 due to more torque at less rpm is better than a Duc, when you drive at medium speeds.
  9. I have a sport Corsa(similar to Daytona riding position etc.) touring 2 up definitely no touring alone, erhmm ok if you travel light but you get tired. made for touring, but nice bike.
  10. Much lighter as already said better mid range don't cure under 3000 baf baf Nice sound without to disturb worth the money if you feel you should have the Guzzi logo(I did )
  11. Maybe reason was the order of attaching the wires I think it is first pos(+) then neg (-) If you attach neg(-) first you might get sparks while attaching the pos(+) If you did it right ignore my comment
  12. European versions (starting with Ballabio,V11cafe sport 2004) have a lamda sensor on the crossover. I suppose scura R as a later model has one too.
  13. was about to write the same, many fights with 'quick release' fittings until I read in a Breva manual that procedure
  14. yes, pump is internal but as for the leak never happened to me one breather hose is connected perhaps you can warm up the engine with the fuel cap open and then let it cool for some time if it leaks again it won't have to do with tank pressure
  15. I am not sure what is their relation with Piaggio/MG (official club?) so far they organize some events in Italy mainly. Mailed them to ask about if there is going to be a GMG 2011(90yrs), reply was that they have no info although they are based in Mandello Del Lario :!:
  16. I am no new member, but neither an old one. I am not a forum flooder either I post occasionally but still like that it is an international forum, many ppl write, so greater the chance to read good advice and info. Nice to be among ppl who love V11 and MG.
  17. You say both bikes are 2003, I guess that is number plates, not actual production date. MG did a lot of refining job(due to Aprilia management) to the V11 model in 2003, some of them were sold in late 2003, some in 2004 and after. One easy detail for production year is to check if there is a front crossover(front of alternator cover), or frame num. As for your remarks I feel also the same, riding my 2004 cafe sport and a friend's 2002 Lemans
  18. Borrani rims are not cheap I was in summer 10 days in Alps two up and loaded, and the bike was much fun. Good brakes, torque, comfortable, easy to live with. Screen aerodynamic is good up to 120- 140km, cases have no handles, cannot be easily removed,so you need soft bags.
  19. I think bypass screws control quantity of air fully closed=less air to fuel opening them up 1/2 turn, 3/4 etc =more air to same fuel quantity=leaner As for correcting Tps, How? by the butterfly screw or moving the whole tps?
  20. V11 feels lighter, and hondalike, compared to sport. Sport is closer to an old Leman than a V11, but once you get used to it there is much fun in it. Have not tried to lower the triple clamp yet. Drove a friend's Magni Australia and due to the different riding position, shorter tank it was another bike
  21. Two ports of entry from Italy(Igoumenitsa or Patra) Ships depart from Ancona or Venice. For North Greece Igoumenitsa is the best place to start your tour. Patra is better for touring Pelloponisos. Depends on what you want to do, driving or summer vacs. I will try to make some maps with my favorite bike roads, tourist points not included since Greece has so many places and history to see. A nice touring/endurance event is The 36hrs of Greece, organized by Hellenic Moto Guzzi Club. It is an open event to all makes of motorcycles, every spring(May would be for 2011) A week end, covering almost 2000 km on the best bike roads in Greece. 270 participants were last year. Link to 36hrs 2010-Crete Site Forum Club
  22. Bike country??? definitely yes, we ride 12 months a year
  23. ZGUKTB0103M111751 Greece plus a second one of a friend(no VIN)
  24. Wonder what was the total production of Cafe sport??? In Greece there is mine (bought it new in 2004), and one more imported by a friend lately from Italy. I think Cafe sport model was produced only second half of 2003, by Aprilia were sold as 2004 models or as stock next years and production stopped there.
