  1. A priest , a minister and a rabbit walk into a blood bank , the rabbit says " I think I might be a type o " ?
  2. I heard a Laverda triple w/a flat plane crank one time ....... It was a religious experience !
  3. Uh , where is this washer located ? Is it where you can tighten this from the o.s. ?
  4. While the subject of exhaust is "on the thread" , which side of the footpeg bracket does your (and everyone else) does your exhaust slip-on mount to ?
  5. This only floods during choke mode ?
  6. You keep tellin' yourself that !
  7. My black frame is like that . I DON'T like it .
  8. What is this ? Dellorto carbs ? What model are they ?
  9. HMMMM . That's like a little crack in a windshield or being a little pregnant . This driveshaft has to be perfect . Try it at the matched paint marks and see what you come up with . are you pulling the driveshaft to grease it ?
  10. My personal opinion . I want the throttle blades to be exactly the same PERIOD any multi carb motorcycle ( in my opinion ) wants the throttle angle to be the same . on my bike I set them with CLEAN throttle bores and throttle blades . After you have set the tps V to .157 mV with the r.h. throttle blade closed , 0 contact w/choke kicker and linkage disconnected . I go to the l.h. throttle and turn the idle screw tii it touches and add 1/6 of a turn . I do the same on the r.h. idle screw until there is no clearance , then I attach the linkage and turn the white knob until it will hold a 0.002" feeler gauge against the throttle . Turn the knob until the feeler gauge falls . Then I call it good . Clean the air bypass screws , turn them in until they stop . Back out 1/2 turn for starters . Then adjust the l.h. idle screw until you get 0.450 mV or 0,540 mV depending on who you want to listen to . Start it up let it get warm and see how you like it .
  11. I have Moto Guzzi riding boots . With everything swelling below the knees , I am resigned to wearing Keen work boots . Nuthin' fancy .
  12. I made one of these before they became available and I was amazed . It is the difference between a 1940s farm tractor & a Japanese moto-x bike . I hope you have experienced both . All of these V11s should be equipped w/this trick .
  13. We enjoy your company , start talkin' !
  14. You got it !
  15. I have never heard any complaints
  16. I will take one . I lost the other one !
  17. You may as well buy one . I have one I've not used , the freight will cost you . You nay as well buy one .
  18. BTW , you did a good job loosening in a spiral . Do it the same way when installing .
  19. You "might" be OK . Do put it on a FLAT surface and check or have a machinist ( if you're not ) check . Most Guzzi riders are some type of professional .
  20. You should install a new drive on the starter , it seems like they all look rough when you look at them . If you can get a GREAT machine shop inspect all the surfaces the clutch disc touches to see if it needs attention . You live in Ca , so you should get good machine work done there .
  21. It seems like these are all prototypes more than anything .
  22. Well I got Whitney running FINALLY . I thought the starter drive was hitting the flywheel so I got a new drive and fork from EME . installed everything . Started back up , same noise . Started kicking ( I admit ) and found the crossover rattling . Good excuse , I dig through my inventory of cardboard boxes , find a perfect crossover beneath my M4 slip-ons . On goes the crossover . Well , here goes the M4s . Got it all on after prying , cutting , doing everything but the Enerpac port-a-power trick . My GOD . The M4 slip-ons . Whoever was peddling these a week or so , you better get some . This bike went from a Singer sewing machine to Steppenwolf !
  23. There was a time the words build quality / British motorcycle was not in the same book . When I was young you didn't ride a British bike any farther than you could push it back .
