  1. You need to understand this "personal modification" will never stop........
  2. First , the rubber appears to be good. If it is o.k. then , take a flat file and file the surfaces flat on both sides of the inner portion and reinstall .Tighten the bolts to the correct torque and go !

  4. It can't .....a resistance increase will not raise current so it would decrease the possibility of blowing a fuse.

  6. malengi , You should look to see if a washer is in a parts diagram illustration to see a part # .
  7. You would see if it was a dimple pushing out or an indentation actuating the switch . This will show you that it was mechanically operating the switch.
  8. Uhhhh. I followed his silver frame all day & I can say it's quicker than mine ( or me ) anyway .
  9. I don't know if their VIN sequence is meant to be understood ?
  10. Tilt the bike and remove the switch. You will see what the switch is actuated by.
  11. I had to remove mine & clean w/contact cleaner . Reinstalled & all is well. That was a couple of years ago....

  14. Yes. an analog ( old timey with a needle ) meter is better to do this with. It will put a load on the circuit whereas a DVOM will not .

Moto Guzzi owners are for the most part a professional in some form or another. they can carry on a conversation about some portion of their bike with intelligence and reverence and will work on / fixit themselves . No ''bulldozers" , they either know or will tell you they don't know . This is a good place to be. What I am saying....."Buy it " !
  16. Disconnect the connector from the neutral switch . Make sure the bike is in neutral . Put the bike in !st gear then shift up to neutral. Turn the key on. Ground the wire to see if the N light comes on. If it does , turn the key off . Take a good known test light and attach the alligator clip to B+ . Touch the probe to the metal protruding from the switch. If it lights the switch is good. If not , move the shift selector to see if it does ever light up. If these check o.k. , look at the wiring plug that pushes onto the switch . This may be enlarged and needs to be crimped just a little to get a better connection .

  18. Mine was perfect . I loved it ........sold it to buy another one but the deal fell through .
  19. The K-bike was supposed to be THE ultimate replacement for the boxer.....but , there was an uprising , the K was killed and the Oil-head became the replacement.
  20. The affect of petroleum or petroleum distillates on hydraulic brake rubber parts is not good. They will swell .
  21. By the time you get back , the engine oil will destroy the rubber brake part the most , the WD-40 I think will come in second , continuous Brake- Kleen third & the brake fluid last .

  23. I see a Model # 12248 that looks like it might be better for $139.00 . Look at all of them. You might find something at a battery store , motorcycle dealer or automotive parts store too.
