  1. Todero did the development work on the high cam, but the basic powerplant is still the old Carcano architecture.
  2. As far as I know, they are OEM only. I've replaced a couple. I think the oldest was maybe 12 years old. (!) AGMs die a "sudden death." Fine until the next time, and they are dead as a doornail. We left a brewpub one rainy night in our 7 year old Prius. It started normally. When we came home, it didn't have enough power to do the shut down sequence. Fortunately, there is a place to jump them under the hood, and I used a motorcycle battery to do that, or I wouldn't have been able to open the trunk to get the dead battery out.
  3. " Does anyone know of it happening in Guzzi's? Sure it does. No big deal to fix.
  4. It's not necessary on those variants.
  5. My wife often wonders why I'm awake thinking at 3am. I've always said I do my best work in bed.. Good find, and a cautionary note to remind us that if a little sealer is good, a lot is not.

  7. I find it hard to believe by virtue of its design that this valve wont have some leakage past the seal face before crack pressure is reached. Hmm, couldn't figure out how to add a quote.. but.. it'll have some leakage. From memory 🙄 it starts about 20 lbs or so before blow off. Maybe your spring *is* sacked. Dunno. Charlie says he can get them to motorboat, but I couldn't.
  8. One of the problems I have with modern bikes is the electronics being noodled.
  9. Most excellent, Pete..
  10. Step son Jim in SoCal was rehabbing his garage and found a good sized granite surface plate. When we were out a couple of years ago, he asked me what it was and if I wanted it. (!) Told him I'd love to have it, but shipping would cost more than it's worth. Just the year before, we were out there with the van, and I could have brought it home.
  11. Thanks for the video. Very nice. Hopefully they sell a boat load of them.
  12. Always good for a grin in the morning..

You wouldn't think a Greenie would last long at 3K..
  14. Agreed. When I did the Aero engine into the Lario project, I bought a (gasp) Harbor Freight lift. Shortly into the project, I wondered why I hadn't bought one 20 years ago..
  15. The star of the show..

Pix on WG if anyone needs one..
  18. It's a small block..and again unless it's a trick of the lighting, the exhaust is in a different spot than the Lario head.
  19. When you get to 10, I'll look into it.
  20. Maybe it's just the shadow, but I'm pretty familiar with Lario valve covers..
  21. I don't recognize the valve cover.
  22. In that case, I could make some if the Philippines solution doesn't work.
  23. Everybody knows Pete's from Austria..
  24. Back in the early 50s we played croquet on the front lawn. It was a rather civil game.. but no telling how it's played in Austria.
  25. Yeah, but he says he put a new one on it.
