  1. You're good, Tom. To the rest, sorry, but there will be a delay while I go down to Arkansas and spank Lowryter..
  2. The only hard part with fixing the Veglias is getting parts. I have a couple of free (Guzzi content) Veglias from wrecked bikes to cannibalize if necessary for the Mighty Scura.
  3. We'll have to agree to disagree about Guzzi vs exotics. About the only thing on the Rosso that is unobtainium is the decal set, as far as I know. A good painter can do those graphics. The plastic is repairable, if not destroyed. I don't know of anything else that isn't readily available and will continue to be readily available.
  4. No problemo..
  5. I'm ready. You ready to get spanked? ..
  6. Docc.. I'm thinking it just may be time for an intervention..
  7. Unless you've sent me an email without your screen name, I haven't heard from: Tom3 Tomchri (2) Tinus89 Stumble_T Ian correct me if I'm wrong..
  8. John, if you still haven't trouble shot the dodgy neutral light, it's simple. All the neutral switch does is provide a path to ground for the light. Unhook it and ground the terminal to the block.. key on, of course. You should get a steady light. If not, you either have a loose connection there, a flaky switch (common) or a broken wire/bulb socket/bad bulb. (really uncommon)
  9. I would think it would be more accessible in the FAQ. If you look now, you'll see several instances of shift spring failure, but nothing saying it has been fixed.. Someone thinking about a V11 might just say, "Uh oh. They are *still* doing that? Nevermind.." If the whole thread goes away, it wouldn't be a great loss to American literature.. and you wouldn't run out of beer pinning something. Edit: I see you pinned it while I was typing. You work fast, Docc..
  10. Running out of beer even once would be once too many..
  11. More SoCal talk! We've seen what the girls wear to stay warm there, too. Like rear fenders on a V11, doesn't seem to take much . . . Oh, I dunno. I've been riding a bicycle down the beach in shorts and a t shirt and the beach bunnies had on Uggs, fur gloves, and parkas.. Man, it was cold. Musta been 60 or so..
  12. au contraire mon ami.. keeping a V11 going indefinitely is easy. No unobtainium parts, no ultra sophisticated electronics that may or may not be available 20 years from now. Besides that, Italians and electronics give me the willies.. Oh, forgot.. no MVdiag available to troubleshoot it yourself. Too many possible gotchas for me.. yes, I'm fully aware they are outstanding. I've been spanked by lesser bikes, though.. Chuck, deacon, Church of Guzzi
  13. Material is in. Last call.. Only six have emailed me. Need an extension? No little blue pills necessary. Stays extended forever. $50 plus shipping. email fifty nine dot chuck at gmail dot com.. You snooze you lose..
  14. I thought you were afraid the Mighty Scura would spank your Greenie.. So when your neutral light is flickering, is it when it is in neutral? Have you checked the connection/switch? I've lost track..
  15. Thanks Docc.. I should have looked at the schematic.. just *assumed* low beam because many call it a "dip switch."
  16. Plus one brazillion. The Kid had the MV hots a couple of years ago, so being a dutiful father, went to the MV/duck dealer to look at it. Asked the salesman what happened if the electronics screwed up. He said, "Oh, that won't happen." Asked the Kid if he trusted that pimple faced kid that cross threads your spark plugs to trouble shoot it? Nice looking bike..but.. He likes his Spot better, I'll betcha.
  17. Low beam. Could have been blown and you didn't notice it.
  18. How about the tipover switch? Only guessing. Normally with vapor lock, it won't restart after sitting a few minutes. What's up with unhooking the clutch kill switch?
  19. Here's the 35mm film trick.. https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19654
  20. Looked for the original thread, but couldn't find it. At any rate, the Staintunes from Laurent arrived today. Very nice. Thanks! 2018-05-09_01-36-39 by Charles Stottlemyer, on Flickr
  21. Welcome, Kevin. I'm sure I don't need to tell you, but you have a nice one, there..
  22. Bump for the day. Keep those cards and letters coming, folks..
  23. I have the (apparently discontinued) 6 Amp charger. Works beautifully, and has "brought back" 4 batteries.
  24. Always happy to have a satisfied customer. I'm probably prejudiced, but I think shifting is.. hmmm.. better. A little less agricultural feeling, if you will. And... I know it won't leave me in BF Utah stuck in second gear with the new shift spring.
