  1. It checks a lot of boxes, but like I say eventually you have to get off the thing at look at it. I just don’t understand the styling...?
  2. @68C where I live there are dozens of small dairy farms (Wisconsin is famous for its dairy) and nice rolling hills. @Swoosh, Will do once I take possession.
  3. Oh yeah We have a long winter up here. Winter projects help.
  4. Miata over Goldwing for sure. I’m just not that old yet.... Ha!
  5. FWIW I’ve been running it for... five years (?) 30k(?) miles. No problem 2:1 filter to oil changes every 3k somewhat hard miles. I burn a bit.
  6. I don’t have possession yet, but it looks like a 77’ T3 is following me home. No pics yet, but it’ll be my zen cruiser with a big comfy seat and giant saddlebags. Needing a good amount of TLC. The 2-3 year plan is to make a sidecar rig out of it. That is if my 3 year old daughter encourages me enough... Any advice welcome. The basic stuff checks out: chrome bores, etc.
  7. Trip of a lifetime! Glad to hear you made it.
  8. As I typed this I realized why I replaced the nipples on mine. They were the zinc chromate type and were flaking, so ignore my last post and get yourself the correct sealing washer and your mother has a brother named Robert.
  9. I’d rather replace than over-tighten... it seems some might have a stainless nipple (male) with same threads either did and others (my 02’) have a zinc chromate coated nipple with different threads on either side. Harpers has em, you just have to clarify which one you have. There is also a sealing washer that every good v11 owner has a few in hand I’m sure.....
  10. What effort Docc put into what is a nill issue for him with new GPS speedo. Thanks for all that Docc!
  11. Eventually you have to run into Remo though, right?
  12. Meinolf’s map is awesome past idle, but you have to get the idle balance soooo spot on for it to idle properly. Even then it will only idle around 1k. That’s my experience.....
  13. Run through Docc’s quick tune-up. Checks valve lash, TPS, re-do your TB balance and if possible check CO. Search this forum. Good things will happen! She is sick and needs attention.... [docc edit: Decent Tune-up in "How To . . ." ]
  14. Original plug wires Docc?
  15. How else is Docc gonna make it to 200k?
  16. Yes my current regulator is the EuroMoto one. Sorry I’m not too specific.. I don’t know the model of the Electrosport, it’s the plug n’ play style. It would have a draw that would take the odyssey down past its optimal voltage in a week (like .1 volts a day). I asked Electrosport about it and they offered a small discount on a new one....
  17. I tried the electrosport and it is not a good match to the Odyssey battery in my experience. I have a lightly used one that I will sell cheap if you want. I went back to stock style...
  18. Good ground to regulator?
  19. Definitely interested.
  20. Let me read that a few more times....
  21. How did you come to these target numbers Meinolf? Dyno? Seat of the pants?
  22. Meinolf is full of great info for sure. Feeling less and less motivated to go this route.
