  1. Isn’t that just the ECU serial no.? The BIN file will identify what map is actually in the ECU I believe.
  2. I’m about to embark on this. I have the big (outer) and little (inner) seal. Looks like I need an o-ring? Anything else you guys recommend to have on hand when doing this?

  9. Let’s get this thread back on track. Those are some beautiful Nortons though! Lately when faced with the dilemma of either taking my light little old Yamaha or the big (relatively) heavy v11 the Yammer has been winning, relegating the v11 to commuting duty. Not cool, I know... Today I took the stiletto clad big girl out for a “fer real” dance. Never gone sell this thing! At least without owning another v11! Man she is just SO right on the right day!

  11. Pirelli angel GT or ST IMO. Seems the GTs last longer but to me the STs are maybe a bit stickier, hard to say for sure going from old tires to new. There is a great thread here somewhere on tires...

    I didn’t forget about you Chuck... @ Dave, I don’t have any custom maps, just standard, titanium and Meinolf’s plus a whole slough of others I’ve fiddled with.

    Which map(s) does he want? I can send some out when I get home this evening.
  15. Wheel bearing? Master cylinder leaking internally? Just guesses...
  16. Less voltage = more amps? (Correct me if I’m wrong sparkies) So if there is resistance than yes it does make sense.
  17. How are the wires at the stator? Im not saying it isn’t those connectors but definitely worth looking at the stator too.
  18. Mine idles a bit on the side stand plus I’ve had a good crash on that bracket and replaced all associated hardware. Including sump spacer and timing cover.
  19. I’ll echo what foto says at the top of his post but... A few things: When I started randomly losing my tach I lost my ignition too and my bike would die. Cleaned ignition switch and all has been good. When two of the regs that I’ve had failed they failed by not regulating allowing over 18v back to the battery. Just my experience just throwing it out there. The wiring to the stator is super hokey and needs to be inspected both at the harness to the regulator and more importantly from the windings coming from the actual stator have super weak solder joints and not much supporting the wires.

  21. Check your ground! Should be behind the seat lock on the transmission.
