  1. I'm just patiently waiting fot a new LeMans or at least a Griso replacement. I mean the V85s are cool and all but when you've been riding V11 Spineys for years a V85 can still seem a little meh. And the 1400 is cruiser and more of a freight train. This motor reborn into another kind of Tonti style or spine frame would be just pretty. Or both. Guzzi should get this done with and make a reborn retro s1000 twin shock deal and then a sporty modern single swingarm deal.
  2. The way I'm reading it the new engine will likely have chains to lift the valves instead of belts or pushrods. Piaggio can't be stupid enough to put a CVT on a Goose unless they're looking to bankrupt the brand. 110hp would be nice though.
  3. Looks promising. Would love to see a Griso replacement. Or what would be even better would be the reincarnated 1000S and a LeMans., Just throwing it out there.....
  4. Gasket or a missing washer likely. I had that issue. Washer..
  5. I appreciate the originality and the function.. that looks like a ram air on the tank going to an airbox somewhere. All hand laid aluminum work. Maybe would be cleaner with just a nice simple bug eye headlight. Not my cup of joe but I can certainly appreciate the thought into it.
  6. Funny, I thought all the V11 Sport variants were 6 speed. EV11s were 5. Your 01 is a 5 speed?
  7. Normally it's just a voltage regulator. Plug and go. But with both of mine regardless I'll get 2 years on a battery between the battery starting a high compression motor, the heat of Arizona sapping the battery and the Luigi (Lucus's Italian cousin) electrics. My Triumph Bonnevilles were the same way. And mind you these bikes are 20 years old now. Vibrations rattling solder points, etc. My Scura needs a battery after 2 years. Got exactly 2 years, 2 weeks out of the Yuasa.
  8. That's pretty sick! And that V10 motor and tranny lined right up?
  9. What is the V11 in coffee terms? A French pressed Italian roast with breast milk. A good rich punch with accidental life giving properties because you forgot to read the label reaching into the fridge. Boom. Okay, maybe a Vietnamese style coffee using Lavazza espresso... For the faint of heart..
  10. That's not a project. That's a salvage. Rear shock, bodywork and some engine parts may be good. Everything else is likely tweeked. Looks like someone hit it and likely ran. Sadly, one more Scura out of circulation.
  11. I'm talking the 3/4 stuff. But in general both luxury leather lined helmet. But I really really like that Koura.
  12. Im respectfully a NO for now. I've ridden a Zero.. Also a Brammo back in the day. The torque on the Brammos were pretty awesome but falls flat up top. I remember the guy telling me they had about 130 miles per charge. I remember watching the meter. I bet it was more like 100. Not enough charge. Even if it was 200. If I had one it would leave me stranded. But then they'd make great commuters... But not for 15 grand at the time when you can buy a Monster 1100 at the time. Sheesh, could buy an MV Agusta 800 Brutale nicely accessorized at the time in 2014. And Im talking Zero pricing, not the Brammo.. Electric would be great for motocross in a controlled environmenment but certainly not all day or even weekend road riding.
  13. +1 to my Arizona breathren.. And you got a Scura which shows you are a man of good taste.
  14. I never thought this would work but it does.. I wear a canvas oilskin with a mesh liner. And Im in Tucson. Air goes through it but still good for the hot rainy monsoons.. Mine's a Merlin.
  15. Some of that has to do with insurance. I think that's the reason Harley dealers only work on Harley. But I know my local dealers will work on anything. Well, almost.. Except some Ducatis. At least motor or electronics related. But a tire should be bread and butter for them. They look up the torque specs and have at it.
  16. You can get it rebuilt. No need for a new shock.
  17. In Tucson here we have the occasional desert rattlesnake. But at least they'll give warning.. A copperhead will just pop up and scare the shit out of you.
  18. Im coming at the angle of just wanting a Tenni. But if you're looking to buy a bike for investment but come to a forum to score a deal in efforts to flip it...🀣 Buying a motorcycle for investment? Antiquiters? 🀣
  19. I tried to say... Better off just getting a LeMans and a suede seat and making your own. Would be a better bike anyway.. I have a Scura with the racing flywheel and a standard Lemans.. The Scura can be a widowmaker if that rear wheel breaks grip from the clutch grab. IMHO though not as pretty the LeMans is a better bike overall. Dare I say. Who cares if it wasn't a Tenni from the factory unless you're looking to flip it.
  20. Did you go parts bin on this V11? That actually looks REALLY cool! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ This a short frame?
