I think this bike was Guzzi's poke into seeing how both the hipsters and the old farts of the Guzzi world were going to take to an idea of a new Lemans. The styling was quite obvious a poke and prod for a reaction. It worked. I know it got my attention.

And this you are correct... Love that new 850 Special by the way.

The XT-6 I think was aimed from the TR-7. They look pretty similar. The XT-6 is just more extreme.

This is what Im thinking they'll do.. Basically a combination of MK I or MK IV bodywork on a V7 850 platform and then hotrod the motor for more power. Better fueling and some other bits. Maybe the Ohlins treatment. If you see the V7 Racer disappear you'll know what's up..

+1 on the airbox comment. Max flow with zero turbulance. A lot of homework. I wanted to scrap mine but thought of the nightmares of air turbulance on jetting on my old CB750. Made it run like sh!t at high speed. Decided to go open airbox. Best of both worlds. More air, smooth flow. @Scud I'll be bleeding mine soon. Just did my CB which reminded me how much of a mind numbing bother a tiny air bubble can be. But got it. Brakes are not so bad. But something about doing the clutch...😂

If it were my money and between the 3 I would go 01 Sport. This is why: The Scura can be an iffy with the flywheel. If you have no odd rattles or any chatter at high rpms it will be a good one. But for whatever reason a low miles V11 can be a warning. Guzzis don't like to sit. But a Scura is sweet. Kinda why I own one. If the clutch and flywheel are good jump on it. The 05 LeMans can be a coin toss. Either a really good one or a really bad one. I know this comment might piss some off but it's my experience. Clocks and electrics.. ITI gauges...🤢 But if it was an 01 or 02...😍😍😍 The 01 Sport seems like a gem. Shorter wheel base? These were pretty solid. Only thing is the different subframe. Just hope you love the seat. Other than that? Great bike. Just the low miles thing. If nothing leaks you should be good. My 2 pesos..

On some there's a red and black Ballabio fit into one of the upper left hand sides. Saw it on Instagram from one of the Guzzi Official pages. But not enough love for the Spine frames indeed.

Prior owner likely. Mine came off with ease but was thinking I might need some Loctite to keep the cover on in fear of overtorquing. Didn't need it though. Looks good, right? 😉

Res goes right where it should. I have the adjuster running near the battery tray. But the adjuster is about the size of the res so it would fit. Just prolly need shorter cables for all the plumbing.. I'll send you pics..

A piggyback can be fitted. I have one on my Scura. There's room behind the airbox and above the shock under the seat. If it's thenstandard Scura/Corsa stuff it'll go right on.. The problem is the Ohlins front. It'll bolt up straight but the front fender won't. The front fenders for the Marzocchi to the Ohlins are completely different. He'd have to use the Aprilia fender and just paint it. Screw finding a Scura/Corsa front fender. Almost unobtainium and if found ( a huge IF) people want a fortune for them.

I don't miss below zero...Living in the South West US you forget the term "winterizing." I was just on the Scura yesterday.. in the 60s here(16degrees celcius)...Optimum running temp for air cooled bikes... Feeling quite lucky while reading...
