  1. looks like a correct RC to me, and a very good price. aftermarket f fender
  2. If you are curious (as I would be) is it a real RC, there are the obvious exclusive parts, and this....http://static.piaggio.com/recall/form-piaggio_en.html Not all, but most of the time afaik, the response will show something to ID it. Like color, maybe model .. give it a shot. edit: I just tried mine again and it shows Tenni MY2002
  3. Bob, I see they sell in different thickness as well as firmness. What thickness did you use. I was thinking it might be good to top off the layers with 1/4" lighter firmness. I will try this out on my Yamaha seat first, as it very much needs it.
  4. the best of the best would be an early frame with the later frame supports and some kind of suspension (ok Ohlins) upgrade. Oh, ... and a zinc chromate primer fairing
  5. copied (stole) lowryter's post from another thread... hope this works and is ok. But she has another one just as sad. Gawd, that woman can make you cry 1 docc reacted to this Quote In the Emmy Lou video above along with Alison Krauss is Gillian Welsh. I had an affair with her music for years. Her guitar/vocal companion is David Rawlings. This is a Led Zep cover with Gillian and Led Zep's John Paul Jones. Tho this doesn't show Rawlings' tremendous guitar abilities, I thought it was a nice one mic performance. It was her music that re-invigorated my appreciation of Gram Parsons.
  6. another thread drift has got me thinkin about some country music. I wanted to post "Hickory Wind" by Gram Parsons as covered by BR549, but couldn't find a decent youtube vid. Here's the next best, expertly covered by Keith Richards. Gram Parsons and Richards were friends briefly as Parson's life was cut short, but he's known for having a huge influence on the Stones drift into American country.
  7. you could still convert your existing arm to a Lucky Phil extended arm. That's how Phil started it all. It's on the forum somewhere where he did the first one.
  8. As Chuck point's out Ram makes a steel single plate clutch/flywheel. Very nice, it's what I used. They made them to replace dual plate clutches in our 6 speed tranny's and the 5 speeders. They do not sell one for the 6 speed any longer but the 5 speed are still available. They stopped selling the 6 speed one because they could no longer get the clutch hub #GU01211640 from MG. The good news is the hub is already in your Tenni. Other than that and the diameter (fixable) of the actuator rod hole in the clutch's 'cup', the 6 and 5 speed kit's are the same. So this and the standard dual plate clutch gives you two options. GU01211640
  9. Good luck with all that Zooter, wish you the best. I bought a bike that was crashed. A member here bought it from the ins co and rebuilt it. Wasn't too bad he said. I bought it for parts and it rode very nicely. I stripped it completely. With everything off, the main frame is basically a 2X4 with a cylinder attached at each end. Vertical one at the front for the forks and a horizontal at the rear that the chops attach to. It's obvious to me it would twist easily with enough force. I casually put a couple of 6' pipes through the frame cylinders to form a cross and they didn't look right. I think it's a little twisted. If I have a go at it again and do it right, with help, I think it could be straightened. If yours flipped it's most likely tweaked. If you did rebuild it, what would the title show? In US we get a 'rebuilt' or 'salvage' title, which lowers resale value considerably.
  10. here are some layers.. the clutch/flywheel were removed with 12k miles... so pretty new. on the right the ring gear with clutch plate laid on. left is flywheel with intermediate plate and spring 'disc' (not really sure what to call the spring thing) the one on top is the ring with starter teeth and the raised bits that look so bad in the pics. It's fine up close and personal.
  11. yeah it's ok, normal casting
  12. yes Docc, one piece flywheel, All alm. and everything else iron and steel. If you could get a magnet past the other layers and fully engaged on the alm. ??
  13. here's the 'door stop' from the Tenni. The alm flywheel is all alm with one two sided clutch plate a 'disc' spring (last) and a pressure plate. you'll see the actuating rod cup in the middle
  14. "add a ground strap" got a photo of this procedure Docc? (you spoiled us) #2--- how do you guys highlight bits of posts like I see sometimes in color?
  15. this is true. however the single plate could have been replaced with a steel Ram single plate and still rattle when the lever is out.
  16. yeah, I probably didn't see your point. You probably didn't see mine. such is life in the interweb eh? I have been known to miss the mark on occasion. Just doin' my best to answer the op's query. to the numbers.... 170 is all I've read/heard. Seems like they'rd be more of a mix up on the forums' Tenni regestry if there were more.
  17. thats cool the paint was fixed. that probably happened before the flywheel fiasco erupted so doubtful it was swapped then. I rode my Tenni almost 13k mi before swapping the clutch and flywheel and there was no indication of damage on the flywheel. I think many have done many more miles with no problems. And as I've said before, there's no guarantee it will fall apart, but the fact that it might... and that some have... was enough for me to do a swap. What Limited Edition number is yours?
  18. How many previous owners? How many miles? If no info was passed down to you regarding a prior clutch replacement, chances are it's the original. There is much info here regarding the aluminum flywheel installed oem into Rosso Mandello, Tenni and Scura. There are remedies.
  19. I have not looked in there but the timing marks on the flywheel must be visible, yeah?
  20. viewed through that filter, all the V11s are the same, ...with varying paint scheme, and tidbits to make it different, and all to arrive near the same price point. If adding Ohlins to a RC, NC, CS is a mere upgrade, then so it be on a Scura. Tho not a limited edition a Cafe Sport is a newer Scura, but with an unfortunate name and all the Scura flaws removed. The later Ohlins is even improved. my list is just what I think will pan out over the years. 170 Tenni, 600 Scura. One collector will value the more rare, another will want Ohlins. I don't care how it turns out. I bought mine for the look of it.
  21. Ok. it'll take till next Sat to get an exact ship quote. It'll be $12 - 18 I'm guessing. I'll have to check on the tail light and get back. thanks
  22. I can't find anything either. a flash of a greenie... behind a car and a RC51? wish I could understand, they sound excited
  23. Got my new LeMans badges to replace the 'Cafe Sport' badges on the carbon fiber side covers I got last week. I'll be using these on the Tenni and didn't want to remove the "Tenni" badges from the stock side covers. They are NLA. The pic of the inside shows the raised areas and the grommet/sleeved washer reinforcement that Lucky Phil was referring to concerning cracking mount points on CF covers. These covers were standard Guzzi items on the Cafe Sport. Very well made. btw, those badges are still available, unlike the early badges, and cheap at $7.20 for both
