I will venture to say Tinus89 is used to the rattle a Rosso Mandello single plate makes when clutch is engaged in neutral and quiet when lever is pulled, and knumnutz has a dual plate which is quiet when engaged in neutral and rattles when lever is pulled.
-
True that. But Tinus89's Rosso Mandello has a 'red frame', but black. The RM has an early frame. The exception to the red frame- black frame differences.
-
"mid engine-gearbox-frame mount " ??? you added this piece?

Thanks for the sweet music knumbnuts

"angry voice" I like that. beautiful bike as well

easily the most design appropriate and best looking silencer for the V11 Sport/LM.
-
so.... how long does 'it' take?

Something to bear in mind with cans that have the mid-pipe welded on and are made for low (standard) mount, ...they can't be mounted high. Raising involves turning, which pushes the can outward as it goes up. For high mount cans get them already made as high mount fitment. A separate mid-pipe could always be made for a 'slip-on' if one wanted to pursue that, it's about a 46 degree bend. The MG Ti cans/kit are separate and mount either way. Stucchi is a great xover, well built. I run one. Mistral is very well built as well and is a favorite. FBF makes an ok pipe and some have noted weld cracks. Mine did not crack running for several years. I switched because it didn't have the central (under tranny) exhaust system mount bracket and I didn't want to put all that weight on my new Ti cans/hangers. Basically that stress is why they crack. If FBF is all you can find or if cheap enough, you can always reinforce it and add the mount point. They are a lighter gauge pipe than the other as well I believe.

welcome back! For myself, a good xover and MG Ti cans do the trick. Basically a straight through glass pack. Loud when you're on the throttle and as loud as I want it. There is a beautiful depth of sound at idle and at rpm's consistent with average riding.

the hands probably bounce

No worries, no time wasted. I got to dig through my stuff too. My sense of purpose took a small hit though.
-
ah yes, there is a plate with the Ti kit that does relocate the mount holes. I will dig that out. Gimme a minute

I made this attachment for my shop jack to remove the motor for clutch work. It gets low enough, after raising the bike a bit with a stabilizing chock at the front and ratchet straps at the rear, to roll the disconnected motor out. Then squatting and with elbows on knees, I could just lift it onto the nearby Harbor Freight dolly. Went back the same way. Flat steel, vise, hammer, rubber/glue. Cradles the contour of the oil pan. Could be bolted instead of weld.

yes. the high mount hangers from the V11 Ti kit ARE the very ones used on the early Sport 1100. I purchased the latter some years ago and have compared them to the ones from the Ti kit.

Left side tire were is normal where we drive on the right side of the road. It also indicates a lot of city riding. So, with the wheels off for new rubber you'll have the opportunity to check/replace wheel bearings, replace if necessary, and lube the 'hard to get to' front u-joint. Could be an illusion but it looks like he didn't get around to brake fluid flush and fill either. If it's old fluid, our clutches respond noticeably well to new clean fluid. She looks great.. and happy ...like a good dog who's found her furever home

Probably Mistral's http://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=26_336&products_id=4569 or Agostini's, they look the same, ... and actually 'might' be the same. It'll be worth your while to repair the damaged one

Yes, get well very soon.

looks like it is a little scratched on the left side. I'd be more worried about the graphics on the tank possibly having gas bubbles under. -

he painted the valve covers because the RC red covers are actually kind of orange and don't really match anything. The can is dented because it's Ti and dents VERY easily, and is just as easily fixed. Aftermarket fender, probably broke the original. "appearances" say this is a good deal. -
I just sold one that came with a bike I got a couple years ago. I could not find any info on it at all. Probably a short production run. May have to make one.

value is established at the point of sale, so....

Thanks Bob. Just ordered some 1" med firm and a piece of 1/2" pudgee to cover it. I'll see how that works for me on the smaller (and terrible) Yamaha FJ09 seat, before rebuilding my spare Guzzi seat.
