  1. Happened to me a while back, i took the switch out and doused it in wd40 while working the plunger on the bench a few (loads of) times. Might be worth a try before shelling out for a new unit?
  2. Steve you’re a gent! I sourced one off’v ebay though- which arrived today!
  3. Today was meant to be sump-flange-removal-day. As i looked around the garage i realised how dusty and untidy it was. Can’t perform internal surgury in these conditions, so a mega spring clean was initiated. (Only) 4 hours later and i’m ready to fire her up and warm the oil for draining- clik! Ah, flat battery. Figures. Tomorrow is sump-flange-removal- day!
  4. Or alternatively, can i buy your old one?
  5. Ah! Cheers Steve, thought i’d ask first as i was reluctant to force it. Are they available to get separately do you know- mine is damaged.
  6. Circlip under the rubber?
  7. Hi All, can someone tell me how to remove the angled nipple from the top of the master cylinder? I thought maybe it’d pull out? Cheers Stew
  8. New carbon Mistrals fitted which sound rather pleasant (and less ‘smashed-in-eardrums’ than those mivvs). Also a set of rocker cover guards thru from guzzi which came ‘mold fresh’!? Flash, lines and pitted from the casting- took a half-day to file and sand them to a reasonable state.
  9. Hey docc, have you put a vernier gauge on the axles to compare? Might be an idea before any sanding? Mine has the same unpolished axle fitted and it can take a wiggle to re-fit on occasion. These days i smear it in moly which helps. HNY everyone!
  10. Ooh you jammy b’stard... wait a mo... i’ve got a pair of them in the post! Haa! Jam jam jam.
  11. Is this at the rose joint? If so i think it’s meant to move about as the steering rotates
  12. Quite unnerving...
  13. +1 ^ I pickled about with the fork settings earlier this year and there is definitely a 'falling in' feeling at one end of the range.
  14. Well i'll buck the trend here and go small: I'd quite like a v50 monza. In that nice silvery blue. I even quite like the 350 imola (2 valve, mai oui). I looked at one for the missus years ago that had some fancy pipes on it- awesome, sounded like a hummingbird ferrari!
  15. The crank sensor can piddle some too.
  16. Hmmmm, maybe it's ok- poss batbike cool even - it could be the underpants-shaped headlight that's dismaying my gaze.
  17. Dear sweet baby jesus.... the fairing on that mgx... Rest of it looks smartly tailored but..
  18. Good stuff, i'd quite like a set of the ohlins. I haven't checked mine but our local roads are awful and the bike hammers over them. On good, smooth stuff she feels great though. What's a guy gonna do?
  19. I read elsewhere on the forum (post scud made i think) it was the same as the rear pincher. That's what i ordered anyway... without checking.. To any interested parties in the UK, they arrived quite promptly and duty charge was 13 quid at this time. So front, back and clutch all in for less than 50 quid.
  20. Modern or trad?
  21. Did not fit my speedybleedies today! - Instead i rode a 250 mile scenic route thru the north west to buy a longbow! Wanted to see chester for the first time too, but couldn't get in the bleedin place for a bizarre amount of cars schniding up the roads... (English longbow crafted by a canadian, bleeders fitted tomo.. maybe..)
  22. Bet it's the horn rattlin against the frame... 8D
  23. Aye. Sod that, I thought. So I ordered a set from Speedbleeders in the good ol' yoo ess of ay. 35 quid. Bonza.
  24. Cripes, over a hundred quid for a full set... although they are undeniably bling
  25. Hello hello, I see uk company demon tweeks sell the goodridge speed bleeders- are these compatible with our brakes/clutch? Front - m8 x 1.25 Rear - m10 x 1.0 is correct? Cheers, Stew
