  1. Past hour
  2. SO many crashes late in the race. They mentioned weepers. So the track was drying out but the weepers were soaking through and couldn't be seen my the riders? That's awful. Seeing three bikes crash one after the other was pretty bad.
  3. Today
  4. Damp patches that momentarily dry out then return to the track surface - known as weepers - were the cause of multiple crashes in the Spanish MotoGP sprint race. Ahead of Sunday’s grand prix, the state of the track was criticized. Several of the riders, including one who was initially on the podium was demoted because of tire/tyre pressure penalty. Revised tire/tyre pressure rules mean riders must now stay above a lower front minimum of 1.8 bar (instead of 1.88) for 60% (instead of 50%) of a Grand Prix distance, or 30% of a Sprint. Stricter 2024 tire/tyre pressure penalties, no longer allow an official warning for a first offense. You get 8 seconds penalty.
  5. If I had the space, I would seriously consider this one, even in this color.... Anyone else?
  6. Now that you talk about it, I realized that I have never driven a motorcycle with a sidecar....
  7. MMarquez did the pole, after heavy rains during the night, the track was damp. In any case, it will be interesting to watch the sprint race.
  8. Oh.... they have not painted the parking spots?
  9. And the fun continues! Hello , Your item is out for delivery on April 27, 2024 at 7:46 am in HOUSTON, TX 77055. USPS expects to deliver your package today by 9:00pm.
  10. USPS is not isolated in the new trend. At least, their prices are still within reason.
  11. It is not about the wait; it is about the service being priced according to the transit time, and the lack of accountability of not only USPS, but many other companies. I am fresh out of a similar fiasco with FedEx; I paid 234 USD to ship my Quota instruments to Casa di Moto in Germany. The 234 USD I paid was based on a time frame for delivery. Somehow, FedEx Germany did not get the information it needed to clear the package from the German customs. That information was provided when I went to the FedEx Office where I shipped the package from. They gave me a printout to verify that everything was correct, including the custom declaration, the telephone number, address, email address of the recipient. The package got stuck at the German customs, and I received a voice mail from FedEx the package could not be cleared because the recipient's detail were missing. I provided the alleged missing details; phoning FedEx in the US proved to be extremely difficult. After several days, the package was finally delivered to Casa di Moto. FedEx Germany sent a bill too, because instead of doing a temporary importation since the instruments were just going back to the USA, they did a final importation, thus charging duty. It does not stop here, but for the purpose of being brief, I can tell you that FedEx declined making a partial refund for not executing the service as they should have had. Yes, the package eventually got delivered, but the service provided was overpriced. In the same way, you purchase a flight and it gets delayed; you miss your connection with another flight operated by a different company. Post covid, there are serious service quality issues with many providers. I am fine that it may happen, but if you don't provide the service you got paid for, you need to refund something.
  12. Have you downloaded the manuals Greg Bender made available? They're about 10MB. https://www.thisoldtractor.com/moto_guzzi_misc_spare_parts_catalogs___exploded_parts_diagrams___parts_fiche.html
  13. G'day Mick. Yeah it's usually in Carlton but has moved around a bit the last few years! I think it was in Preston not long ago but looks like I missed a chance this year eh. Cheers

  16. Yesterday
  17. Careful, the 2003 panel differs from the 2000 with left/right signal indicators and no "battery" light.
  18. "subpar " is quite charitable. I would have gone with "FUBAR."
  19. Cats may enjoy a balje, seitenwagen, sidecar to. Daffy, a Rottweiler of mine, was really pissed of me taking of, and he was not inwited . Left turns are made for speed, right coud be exiting. Sorry no Guzzi, K1100RS with EML sidecar. Superb German enginering. Rough on shoulders in low speed. Cheers Tom.
  20. Some times, ordered Viton rings wednesday, could be picked up thursday at my local hydraulicstore, Impressed. Of course a leaking petcock, bad. All sorted now. Good friday gents. Cheers Tom..
  21. Annoying, but nobody is depending on that delivery to stay alive. It will turn up in the next couple of days, I'm sure. Take it easy...
  22. Seems to even be on the right side of town for you, mate, in Scoresby. Get on down there. Wish I could. http://www.foim.asn.au/
  23. I am sorry, but I have to say it: US Postal Services are really subpar! What is the point of providing tracking, if you can't get the basics right... the package was scheduled to be delivered on Saturday 27th. Then Friday, and now Monday. Even Amazon, that used to be fairly reliable, is now bombarding you with texts of changing delivery times, dates.
  24. Hey @MartyNZ Clicking to that other thread I notice your manual has a parts blowout of the instrument panel. Mine does not have this in section G Could you send me those pages?
  25. @po18guy this sounds like it's worth a try. I'll give it a shot , thanks!
  26. Last year, I noted that cranking speed on my '04 V11 was slowing significantly. With a charge, all was fine. However, I noted that the rectifier has a multi-pin connector at the left front down tube on the subframe. Rather exposed to weather. I undid it and cleaned the terminals with contact cleaner on a pipe cleaner, blew it our with air, then applied Caig De-oxIT and snapped it back together. All is well since. Water from rain or washing runs into the connector and corrosion begins. It doesn't take much before resistance rises. Anyway, as easy fix if that happens to be the trouble, and a maintenance item if not.
