  4. Okay, I'll admit it; I'm beat. All I wanted was better front suspension and since the purchase, I haven't ridden a single mile. After the forks were reinstalled, I found a leaking fuel line clamp. I replaced all of them and started the bike. It ran for a moment, then died. I realized the fuel line wasn't connected and still plugged. Once connected, I never heard the pump wind-up again, I assumed it had blown. I bought another pump and installed and still no wind-up. All of my relays were working prior and all have passed being tested now. Am I ever going to ride this bike again? What to check next?
  5. Yesterday
  6. Careful, the 2003 panel differs from the 2000 with left/right signal indicators and no "battery" light.
  7. "subpar " is quite charitable. I would have gone with "FUBAR."
  8. Cats may enjoy a balje, seitenwagen, sidecar to. Daffy, a Rottweiler of mine, was really pissed of me taking of, and he was not inwited . Left turns are made for speed, right coud be exiting. Sorry no Guzzi, K1100RS with EML sidecar. Superb German enginering. Rough on shoulders in low speed. Cheers Tom.
  9. Some times, ordered Viton rings wednesday, could be picked up thursday at my local hydraulicstore, Impressed. Of course a leaking petcock, bad. All sorted now. Good friday gents. Cheers Tom..
  10. Annoying, but nobody is depending on that delivery to stay alive. It will turn up in the next couple of days, I'm sure. Take it easy...
  11. Seems to even be on the right side of town for you, mate, in Scoresby. Get on down there. Wish I could. http://www.foim.asn.au/
  12. I am sorry, but I have to say it: US Postal Services are really subpar! What is the point of providing tracking, if you can't get the basics right... the package was scheduled to be delivered on Saturday 27th. Then Friday, and now Monday. Even Amazon, that used to be fairly reliable, is now bombarding you with texts of changing delivery times, dates.
  13. Hey @MartyNZ Clicking to that other thread I notice your manual has a parts blowout of the instrument panel. Mine does not have this in section G Could you send me those pages?
  14. @po18guy this sounds like it's worth a try. I'll give it a shot , thanks!
  15. Last year, I noted that cranking speed on my '04 V11 was slowing significantly. With a charge, all was fine. However, I noted that the rectifier has a multi-pin connector at the left front down tube on the subframe. Rather exposed to weather. I undid it and cleaned the terminals with contact cleaner on a pipe cleaner, blew it our with air, then applied Caig De-oxIT and snapped it back together. All is well since. Water from rain or washing runs into the connector and corrosion begins. It doesn't take much before resistance rises. Anyway, as easy fix if that happens to be the trouble, and a maintenance item if not.
  16. This is a rare find; this is a cc from the Facebook Quota page. The lady is asking opinions about an ask price. The Quota maybe an odd choice for a side-car, but why not?
  17. After my night at "El Cosmico" in Marfa in 2023, I am apparently ready for just about anything.... Kidding aside, I also had a bed bugs experience in 2022 in a shabby motel around Coleman, where my neighbor had a fight with his fiancée in the middle of the night, threw her out of the bedroom, and she kept banging on his door for a long time after that.... I learned a few explicit words which I had never heard before. I think I am properly prepared to face the dreadful Cedar Vale lodge if it comes to that.
  18. I sourced braided ground strap locally and sleeved it in heat shrink. Technically, I think it is 10 gauge.
  19. I'll have a look this weekend! What gauge wire should I use when running the ground wire off the regulator?
  20. Hope I don't have to help install the window A/C's this year....
  21. Last week
  22. That's held in Melbourne here in in Oz... Never been in all these years so must make an effort one of these days! Cheers
  23. I actually enjoy some of those reactionaries- they're useful if they're experts in some aspect, like guitar players or voice coaches.
  24. I looked back through the entire thread and have to suggest adding a dedicated ground/earth from the regulator case to the timing chest. Also, to clean/tighten/seal the main ground to the back of the gearbox on the right (behind the seat latch actuator). It would be telling if the charging voltage changes after addressing the grounds.
