  1. Here in 2021 just after arrival in Lecco. If I believe the story of the previous owner, this 2001 (from chassisnumber) production model was used for the press to ride around Mandello. In 2005 it was sold to the first owner. I was second in 2015. But nothing can be verified. Nice bike though. I also love the color.

  2. These "transition" bikes were some of the sexiest. Cool colors, all the "good parts" , etc. I always loved the purple one. Also that light green. Gotta love the Euro bikes at this time with their parts bin transition bikes.

  3. Looks to me to be a bit of a "special" item. The picture is from Stein-Dinse, where it is quite expensive. https://www.stein-dinse.com/de/staenderschraube-daytona-2-serie/item-2-1117062-30432801-.html Wendel apparently has one (but only one...) for a lot less money. The question is, what would it cost to have it sent to where you are. https://wendelmotorraeder.de/schraube_gu30432801-p-1009294.html?ref=expl EDIT: PS on the Wendel page, underneath the price, it says "(statt 39,90 € ehemaliger VK)" which means "instead of the original list price of €39.90". So even though the Stein-Dinse price seems high, it is apparently not exorbitant.

  4. @audiomick Look at his right hand during his intro. It is evident that he hits the strings differently than classical;

  6. My favorite — albeit for sentimental as well as qualitative reasons —is, regrettably, no longer made. Think I have mentioned it here before: Yellow Banks. Sigh. It had, iMO, that almost perfect hint of sweetness that made it a pleasant sipping bourbon that lingered wonderfully when the glass was empty … always too soon, no matter how one tried to be disciplined. At least one reviewer agreed with me; see: 2020 Review of Yellow Banks Bourbon I happen to have one unopened bottle left that I am saving for the right company to visit. Nearly [] everyone here qualifies. Bill

  8. Old news, but I just checked in and saw this. Wouldn't mind a V6 GTV at all. Goes with my 3.7 Mustang...

  9. RIP, Bob. He was my riding buddy, and we rode all over SoCal (and central Cal once) for years and years. Going out to Redondo Beach to ride hasn't been the same, since. Mark did most or all of his maintenance, btw.. We didn't know it at the time, but this *may* have been our last riding day together..

  10. I like Todd too. Don’t get the hostility towards him. But this general trend of tail-less modern Manx-style motorcycles leaves me cold. The proportions are all wrong. Some of them are so extreme as to look ridiculous. Look at pipeburn.com for some really bad examples.
