  1. Saw TTB at my favorite venue, The Tulsa Theater. They performed two sets, the show was three hours. "Soul Sweet Song" was a tribute to Kofi Burbridge, their original keyboardist and flutist. I got this photo, then they projected images of passed bandmates and musicians, Kofi, Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, inspirations like Leon and BB King. I'll share a story. Three(?) Years ago Kofi was on stage with Susan Tedeschi working out an arrangement before the show started. He missed the previous tour due to illness. I yelled "welcome back Kofi". He gave a small bow with folded hands. The encore that night was just Kofi & Susan performing "A Song For You". That's the last show that I saw him. His brother Otiel played with the band and now plays bass for Dead & Co.

  2. Thanks to all for the advice. Looks like checking the carb and fuel supply to the carbs is the starting point. Will follow up on the other items if a bit of carb maintenance doesn't cure it.

  3. Well my plan is to be there for the 21st SSR. I was only able to get a room, albeit a 'suite". Also reserved the "almost unobtanium" 2 garage spots. If anyone has need for kitchen/fridge it'll be available for our S'SR use. Have a riding buddy who plans to show later, but at present he doesn't know which day he may arrive. Come on Cherohala!

  4. Uncertain. I haven't been home since the Moto Grappa Gala. August is V11 month, if all the parts have arrived and I don't get any rude surprises it shouldn't be too hard. If I ignore all the other semi-pressious tasks that have piled up. Then I have to find a dogsitter... gah

  6. Enrichened plunger stuck open? Flooding due to stuck float? Does it have the dark brown anodised carb bodies? If so it may be suffering from the float spindle pillar *Growth* issue. First thing would be strip , clean and rebuild the carburettors though. Disgusting things. Should be outlawed! Also check the advance mechanism in the distributor is moving freely.

  7. Maybe time to have a looksee in there ...I had float issues on a new set of Dells a while ago...or also jets gummed up after the down time ?

  8. To the best of my knowledge , any glitches that occur in that pot (TPS) will be transmitted to the ECU and there is no dampening built into the program .

  9. Before I bought my Stelvio NTX, I read a lot of reviews on it. One guy said it is the only bike he owned that he never turned back to look at. Now that I own one, I can say I don't agree with him. Although it's looks are unlike any other, I think it is a cool looking bike. It is a beast though. Giving up 100 lbs for a new one could be a good idea. Good luck with the new steed!

  10. Cannot wait to see, and hear, more from @Scud how this V100 compares to the various V11 SpineFrames he has owned!

  11. The Original “Water Buffalo”!

  12. haha... it is water cooled. I do like the wild boar for the Griso - it fits. I'd be more inclined to accept water buffalo for the Stelvio 1200 NTX that I traded. This one is a different animal, but I need to think about what it might be. But yesterday, I parked it next to a new BMW GS1300, which is perhaps a hippopotamus.

  13. I picked up my Stelvio Duecento Tributo on Wednesday. Traded my 2017 Stelvio NTX. It is shorter, lighter, faster, prettier, more refined, etc. This limited edition marking the 200th anniversary of the Stelvio Pass comes with most of the upgrade options such heated comfort seat, and electronic wizardry. I'm just waiting for the luggage to arrive (which was not included). This is the first motorcycle I've owned that has an app and ability to connect to my phone. I have yet to connect a headset, so have not tried all the voice-activated features. Also have not yet tried the adaptive cruise control. But I sure do like the blind-spot alerts that appear in mirrors and on dash when a car is in my blind spot. Only 250 miles in the saddle so far. Half of it was today, including a ride up Mount Palomar with a view to the ocean. The handling is excellent and confidence inspiring, the engine is smooth, but still with character, the transmission with quick shifter is a joy. Five ride modes to play with: Road, Touring, Sport, Rain, and Off-Road. Other than addiing bags, and possibly an extra lip on the windshield for long hauls, I'm not feeling a need to change anything. Moto Guzzi claims to be making only 2,758 of this special edition, which is the elevation of Stelvio Pass in meters. I thought that seemed like a lot compared to some of the volumes of our V11s (like 600-700 Scuras). But I guess Moto Guzzi is doing more volume with Piaggio now, which I am glad to see.

  14. Took the Ballabio on a spirited ride this evening for about total 2.5 hours, from Vancouver up the Sea to Sky twisty highway towards Whistler and back. Filled fuel before and after. Fuel mileage was 38 miles to US Gal or just over 42 to Imp Gal. It does top appear that it is running rich, looking at fuel mileage and plug colour.

  15. At age 60, I have eight bikes and have been asking similar questions. Three dirt bikes (200, 500, and 700 ccs). I rarely ride the 200, but my daughters and some guests do. I expect that the two big Husqvarnas will be with me for a long time. I was thinking about letting three bikes go, and getting a new Stelvio, but the "math" kept suggesting to sell the Scura or Nero Corsa, which I think would regret. So I think I am going to have with a 2:1 event, reducing the "stable" to seven. The prior owner of my 1989 LeMans misses it, and I think it might go back to him soon. (Which means I could still potentially have visitation rights). My Stelvio NTX has been a workhorse, but I am about to trade it on the new, water-cooled Stelvio - likely later this week, depending on actual arrival and set-up at GP Motorcycles in San Diego. @LaGrasta Have you every ridden a Stelvio NTX? Let me know if you want to come down and try it before I trade it in.

  16. @Lucky Phil yes, so true. Had my CBX get too far over in my ground level basement while maneuvering it into its spot. Used my body to prevent it from lying on the floor and managed to get my phone out to call for help! They sure laughed at me! Six years ago at 65 I was looking after my personal 4 aircraft and Heli’s (Glasair 3, R22, C120 and Mini 500) 16 cyl., 14 motos 34 cyl. , and 2 autos 14cyl., and was working 50 to 60 hours per week at my job. Don’t know how I did it. Now at 71 down to 7 bikes and 2 autos and need to make that number smaller as too much work!

  19. Might have to "rope off" those spaces as there is no protocol, otherwise. Josh and I have one garage space. Because our Sports are close friends and don't mind . . .

  20. Your '17 and my '12. I would like to get the new Stelvio also but like the air cooled simplicity. Plus I haven't seen a color that I love.
