  1. She's been bugging me for a little face lift for a while now. So I finally caved in and gave it a little something to make it "POP". Now it's my V-11 LeMams/Superveloce .

  2. Very nice Skip. the Superveloce headlight ring does double duty as an homage to early Guzzi LeMans

  3. I got my Sport Guzzi tank bag welt reupholstered today. Met the guy a few days ago. He said it was ready. But he had to redo some of. I think he was alone and wanted someone to yack for an hour or so while he got it right. Said he was a Harley rider, crashed and spent some time in coma. Wore polyester slacks and played classic rock. Told him he needed to get on Guzzi. I didn't have the heart to say that he'd fit right in. But yeah. Great guy. I love guys that help me out. My barber, bike tech, car tech, this guy. Can't put my doctor among them. But you get the drift. All the good and talented people that get you where you need to be, make you smile and laugh, make life better. Yeah, he should get a Guzzi.

  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOANndm-7i0 Unfortunately, Dorna does not allow embedding so you need to click on the link and enjoy on YT. There are many clips... I am wondering why Valentino Rossi is not there... Edit: Valentino Rossi was racing this weekend.

  7. From the reply box > other media > insert image from url > paste your link > click insert into post. Edit: The problem doing it that way is the video is displayed in a continuous loop with no sound and no controls.. I guess Smugmug doesn’t allow videos to be embedded like a dedicated video app would - ie Youtube, etc... It also crashes my old iPad periodically

  8. Thanks Footgoose and for sharing, I did not know. So I guess I did good in two ways. If that is your LeMans, it looks very good, has that old school cafe look. Loving It ! SKIP

  10. Yes, the tank had a dent and CG repaired and painted it to the tune of a few thousand. Receipts call the bars civilian. But if you mean the bars on the full dress bike thats not mine just a pic from the web. My tank not mounted yet, I’ll get to that tomorrow.

  11. I got the bike home, what a sweaty job, it was about 90f and 90 humidity.. got it started for the first time in 6 years. It was put up nicely with clean carbs and tank. We just filled the float bowls to see if it would run and it does. I won’t get time to mount the tank and test ride until Monday. I’ll get some good pics then. I’m really pleased with the acquisition. 42k but had a total take down to the last bolt in 2003.. has the Gilardoni kit and a lot of parts were replaced and re chromed etc..10k since the restoration.

  12. They are enormous DB bags, (Dan Brown?) that were modified by the PO.. he did a fantastic job and it wasn’t easy. Cut and re fiber glassed smoothed and painted. here’s another bike with the bags in original shape, note the bump out on the back which had some running or brake lights, he cut those off so the turn signals fit better. Aesthetically mine look a lot classier.

  15. Anybody has been in a sauna before? This is how I can best describe the experience of riding in Houston yesterday afternoon. I don't think I have been in that can of heat before, excepted in a sauna. Speed does not really help either, because the air is warm and humid. Stops are excruciating with the sun beating you while you are at a standstill. The worse being there don't seem to be an remission in store.... I am now wishing for rain, which most likely is going to help in one way, even if not in the other.
