Ok, now I'm getting perplexed. Last night the light came on an I rode for about 20? more miles and finally got to the ethanol-free station (4.699/gal). I thought for sure I was on fumes. 168 miles... I shoved as much gas as I could in, even stood the bike up straight... 4.387gal. 38mpg The time it was sputtering (see above) I got 161 and 5 gals even. 34.6mpg. (mountain roads) Next time the light comes on I need to mark down the mileage. Someone here must have a dead Veglia and can sell me the trip knob... I do need to take a ride down to Medford to the nearest In-N-Out and see what pure highway miles do.

My best guess is Metripack.

For example this is a knockoff AMP Superseal I'm using to replace the connector on my heated grip because the wire got pinch by the steering stop. I replaced the entire connector as I couldn't match the original connector. Cheaper and faster to do that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

By the site my V11 his 2" higher in seating than my Griso 1100 where I know the opposite is true. Mark They warn that the seating height is "contentious". Also there are settings so you can adjust the leg height (inseam) for the more simian-like.

I thought I read that you can get the spring in both dimensions, one to fit the correct boss and one to fit the incorrect boss?

He use to MX a Ducati 450RT. Plus he's more familiar with the 860GT I have. He thought it sounded different but he's use to singles. There are still a couple operating ferries around here. I have an external microphone but I always forget to use it. Maybe one day. I had to deliver something to my uncle so I took the scenic route, as in I took a couple turns and got lost. You'll see what I found. I'm bummed because at one point I watch three skydivers descending but they were too small in the frame to see. I'm not sure why I get rather poor gas mileage, I suspect it's due to too many trips to the 7K+ neighborhood on the tach...

So do the ratings on the 15W-50 scare anyone?

I still don't know how they can sell the 5qt jugs so cheap. If you buy them one qt at a time it's at least $6/ea. 15W-50 is pretty close to 10W-60 that the later bikes "require" and I can't remember what the early V11s spec'd. There's an oil thread on WG but I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot... horse drainer...

I haven't seen an oil thread in a while. In an effort to stir the pot here I go. I was at Walmart today and I decided to check out the Mobil 1 selection. Exhibit A: IMG_2265 by swooshdave, on Flickr 5 quarts of automotive grade 15W-50. It says it has extra zinc which is more important for older engines. $22 Exhibit B: IMG_2266 by swooshdave, on Flickr 1 qt of Mobil 1 4 stroke "racing" oil. $10 Exhibit C: IMG_2267 by swooshdave, on Flickr 1 qt of Mobil 1 V-twin oil. Good if your oil is shared with the clutch and tranny. Neither apply with the V11. $10 Considering the auto oil is a fraction the cost of the motorcycle oil it's tempting. Fully synthetic, added zinc and about the right weight. Most of you are too old to know what a /r/roast me is but I'm ready for your worst. Go!

I've been to that turn off many times. Unfortunately, not *that* time. She seems a little reluctant to sit down on that sandy seat . . . Have you ever sat on a black vinyl seat that was out in the sun? You could burn some very sensitive areas!

Question: What does this fix and does a 2001 need it?
