  1. still have a killer ride,
  2. sadly, I can not give it the love it deserves. and I wouldn't be riding it into the ground since it's not that comfy a ride for me.. I passed it on to one of the best owners I could have found who will give it just treatment. My daughter needs financial rescue after a bad job and worse BF.. family had to come first even if I have Guzzi colored blood.
  3. you could try a tire with a smaller profile?
  4. my take? it is such a simple design you'd think it will never work but it does! apply with your index finger, when you throttle down it slips back with ease. holds speed well, better than my Throttlemiester, Bobs wrist rest or the other flip lock I had once. there is a more elaborate version with a screw adjustment but with my grips not needed.
  5. I use this from Aerostich, 10 or 20 bucks.
  6. maybe it works but the idle sync is done with the bleed screws, the white knob is for off idle balance.
  7. have you cleaned/tightened the battery leads? (at both ends)
  8. I need a seat for a LeMans 1.. does not have to be a Corbin but I want to save the stock seat before it crumbles.. any ideas?
  9. It showed up on Craigs List mid day Wed.. being an obsessive browser, I was the first caller and found it was about a mile from my home.. it's very clean around the motor and looks low mile but speedo was replaced so unknown. had to pull off the calipers to roll in on my trailer and plan to rebuild them soon.. just a little gas in tank and it was pretty clean and not too smelly, float bowls clean too.. I didn't get original mirrors but most of the rest is stock.. headlight and mounts are not, at least I don't think so based on the chrome ring on light. so the fairing (I did get) won't mount up just yet. Rims painted grey, that sucks but I'll live with it for now. next plan is to pull swing arm and check/grease the splines and maybe then I'll get an idea of mileage. hope to start it next weekend. oh, needs new tires since thee are not worn but old. I want to find an aftermarket saddle if anyone has something stashed, I have a second seat base/fender ready to apply if I can find a more comfy seat.
  10. Lucky me, first to respond to a CL ad and yesterday I scored a nice 1977.. not cheap but I could not resist. Yeah, dent in tank, I don't care.
  11. yep the yellow paint is from the factory after they supposedly set and balanced everything.
  12. Good! Just so you know, many of us have used the PF4 TPS, it's from a Harley Davidson and costs about $40. instead of the Guzzi PF3 for $300. they work fine so you mechanic is full of balony. keep up the faith and you'll have a fine running bike someday soon..
  13. I have lust in my heart for a greenie.. this one will be used up before I can get it.. He rides in to bike night regularly from home some 180 miles away.. think it's north of 70k now.. dig the QuatD
  14. pretty cool, I like the computer saying "us humans" Being a Buelly you should check this one out too,

I have leather but it hangs in the closet, too heavy.. can't beat Aerostich Roadcrafter, unless you got the big bucks for their Transit suit.. WATERPROOF LEATHER!
  16. that's a QuatD exhaust, right? NLA
  17. Mine did that until I ditched the stock cross over for a mistral, hiccup gone.. yours may be different, I didn't have the cross over in the headd pipes.. I'm talking about the center x-over under the tranny.
  18. yeah, check that it's not swelling around the steering neck.. looking down from the saddle, the right side where it wraps around the neck can swell and contact an end tube of the frame which can easily wear a hole right thru the tank..
  19. would the spokes be going backwards if you just flip the wheel around?
  20. In my memory the spacer is separate from the rim.
  21. can you just put the wheel on the other way? I don't think the front wheel has a L or R side.
