  1. Hi, Paul6506! Looks like you are just north of I-40 about 20 miles northeast of Knoxville. Not sure who is traveling in from that direction. Slip down to Tellico Plains for a visit!
  2. Yep. I mixed up my "Toms" . . . Looks all good now. Thanks for all the replies!
  3. doslemans tells me he pm'd his address this morning. Not sure who still needs to ring in from that list . . . @Tomchri ?
  4. Seems that Vic, footgoose, VeeEleven, and maybe one other have responded from this list. @Kane ? @Tomchri ? @hammershaug ? @doslemans ?
  5. https://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=GU17768750 $10.90US ! For another $1.84, I added this sealing boot over the connector: https://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=37_209&products_id=315
  6. +1 Bad switch.
  7. Ok, so when I connect a grounded wire to the disconnected oil pressure switch wire, I get the bulb to light with key on engine off! Progress! Make sure the connection to the switch is clean and treated. Also, there should be continuity from the switch connection to the engine case with the engine off.
  8. That one wire grounds the light to illuminate it, right? Using just a screwdriver grounding that wire, still no oil light with the key on? Is there continuity from the switch end of the blue wire to the bulb end of the blue wire?
  9. No frame ground from the factory. The light grounds through the switch to the engine. What about cleaning and treating the connectors with Caig DeOxit and resecuring them?
  10. That must have been someone else's comment. I've only used my Hg sticks and they don't have restrictors . . .
  11. Okay, sorry, I was thinking of the cable. I have one for a late model V11 if anyone needs it.
  12. @jwatches . . . Seems like the later V11 had a different throttle cable than the early RedFrames. GU 01117590 ?
  13. "Pre-production" . . . I like that! This just appeared in a tool roll on a salvage bike. Not sure what it is. It was slipped in the little pocket of the tool roll, so looked like "it belongs." Kinda reminds me of a float adjustment tool, but not entirely. And there is no saying it is actually for the K75 it came with. Could have been for the guy's Coleman camp stove!
  14. [V11Transema says:] Goodmorning everyone. I have a V11 with a little retro style. I would like to fit the exhausts of the triumph thruxton 1200 Do you think it is possible? what would it always entail in your opinion at the engine level? Thanks for your opinion.
  15. Usually they arrive about 50% (~12.50 volts) and should be "conditioned" prior to installation. Even a PC545 showing up 100% (12.84v), I would discharge it with a light bulb or such and monitor where the voltage stabilizes after 2-3 minutes, then after it fully recovers with no load (probably minutes to an hour). If below 12.65v, apply 6 amps minimum until it reaches 15.0 volts maximum.
  16. Solid! I'll share that with my buddy. He's coming to the South'n SpineRaid. Maybe we'll pass around the little flat thingy and let folks speculate . . .
  17. Would a dedicated regulator case-> engine case ground help that?
  18. Nope. Doesn't even look very German. No stampings or markings. But it does look rather purposeful, if not very elegant . . .
  19. Well, it is living on an R1100S now, but came off a K75 . . . so, no wire spokes with nipples . . .
  20. Correct: PC545
  21. My vote would be NyLoc self-locking nut. Good find, there, LangleyMalc! That would make me keep looking . . .
  22. Here is another for the "What's-it?" crowd. What is the flat tool at the bottom, right, with the notch at the tip? (Hint: mid-80s BMW motorcycle toolroll):
  23. I love the way the way @v11_meticcio looks ready to leap into the air, spread its wings, and soar down through that lovely valley . . .
  24. Just that curious bronze patina our pipes offer us from running her hard (but never putting her away wet!).
  25. [been there - shaved that . . . ] Managed to unfuck it with this guidance. Thanks, Pete!
