Neutral light out, deploy side stand, bike stalls
docc replied to JBBenson's topic in Technical Topics
The Sidestand Switch only provides current to the Run Switch when the stand is up and the bike is in gear. No relay. So, it's not that. How about your headlight and tail light? -
I don;t recall how to defeat the Lambda sensors, or if that would allow you to change the CO. Meinolf has a way to set the CO using the the "writer" software. I can't speak to that, but he says it is easy and the engine temperature doen't matter.

Like a used air filter for $76.70?
-
The engine must be at operating temperature to change the CO in guzzidiag. I recall that Lambda can (should be?) defeated in the software (somehow) as well.

The Charge and Oil pressure lights have 12 Volts on one pin and the other is pulled to ground to turn the lamp On This is probably a case of the wet causing the bulb to ground out, the same thing will happen to the oil pressure light if you let the switch insulator get too dirty in the wet. This is particularly noticeable with LED lamps as they need so little current to turn on. So, could not be the black-white connector getting wet? [edit: all dried out today, and light back to "normal". Best news is the Speedhut gauges lasted through the event! >whew!

Inability to disengage clutch after twin-disc conversion
docc replied to slowkitty's topic in Technical Topics
So, wait . . . when you converted to the twin plate clutch, which input hub did you use? The single plate input hub differs. You'll need a "twin plate" input hub for the full conversion. -
Inability to disengage clutch after twin-disc conversion

Scud also had some struggles with this. I recall he traced it to the stiffer replacement springs. Sounds like you addressed that already. The drive hub is easy to overlook. It is not part of the clutch assembly. -
Inability to disengage clutch after twin-disc conversion
docc replied to slowkitty's topic in Technical Topics
When my (twin plate) clutch would not disengage reliably, I found the gearbox input (drive) hub had come loose from a failed "safety washer." https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=20232 -
Rode for hours in the rain today. The Charge Light Flicker became maniacal. Then would quit. And return with a vengeance. Worst when the rain was worse. Connectivity at the black/white regulator connector? FWIW, charge voltage checked out once home (14.2 above 2000 rpm). Light stayed on.

THAT is sweet, man! Nice! Thanks!!

Back from a romping weekend following the creeks and ridges of central Kentucky with two other Sports (a Sport1100 and a 1200 Sport). A fine time was had by all. Even returning into the relentless, wet, low pressure system.

Yeah: "Replaced the stock clutch with a RAM single plate clutch. " and "Clean Az. title. No reserve." Unkept, you looking at this????

I know that you want to regrease the steering head bearings before you go. aukehghgkg! Oh! oh-uh . . . or pull the tank. (I've done that the night before a ride before. First time I discovered "tank swell" and the tank would NOT go back on!) > Desperation ensued Other than packing the Tekno panniers, I'm only conditioning the battery to handle the 77 watt heated jacket. Morning temps look to be single digit Celcius with wind chill at 60 mph in the twenties Fahrenheit. (I'm trying not to think of that as negative Cº . . .) Makes even bad coffee better!

The fun hunt for the right V11, now!

Nope. You're in. Like you never left. You gotta be careful leaving the country, though. Somebody could part your bike out . . .

To the OP, eldest son, V7Café, put the Andreani on his V7 (part of the "café) and says they're great. There were some issues with having to machine the fork bodies to install them. Not sure of that would be the case for the V11 forks?

Bunch of flockers! Watch yer step you don't want me sending the Big Brass Lady to spank your Bacon Slicer!

Guzzi washer and lock nuts (separate supplier) arrived today. I made a solemn pledge NOT to take the Sport apart the night before leaving on a ride. Like I usually do . . . No matter, the lock nuts are the wrong size. I tried to reorder and, somehow, got the wrong size again. Did it over and ordered the wrong quantity. Nuts! I mean, they're just >nuts And the Guzzi washer is the same as the front (thick). I see the part numbers are the same, too. I remember my rear axle washer (fondly, I might add ) and remember it being thin. Of course I remember myself being thin, too. So, is it a memory thing, or that nothing is thin anymore? FWIW, this one time, I'm not taking anything apart on the Sport tonight before leaving out tomorrow. Solemn pledge . . .

This effort, and this thread documenting the effort, stands as an extraordinary example of community, collaboration, and caring that speaks so beyond "just some spring." Chuck, Scud, and the whole supportive V11 community . . . "You", you guys, all of you, "You are very good, You!"

I'm quite proud of having its clutch slave cylinder on my Sport!

Fourteenth South'n Spine Raid 2018
docc replied to Blueboarhound's topic in Meetings, Clubs & Events
I know it's a fresh, new SpineRaid and all, but some would think twice about taking directions from these guys . . . -
Truly, perhaps best to take the translations with a shot of grappa! Just so odd, that added parenthetical phrase "housing side." I wonder what they were trying to say. [edit: I see LuckyPhil's post now. Interesting.] I can say it is A LOT harder to torque the axle to 120Nm by >lifting
