    Titanium V11

That is delicious! I was in love with the skeletonized reaction rod until I left her for the oil cooler!! edit: Video 3: OMG! 150 kilos! A 330 pound V11 ! My Sport is out of fuel at 500 pounds.
  2. .....next you'll be preaching the good book of Guzziology and passing the collection plate. Hallelujah! And praise the valve lash! "Time to Donate"
  3. Let's face it: The World's Foremost Authority on the V11 Moto Guzzi R Us.
  4. Pray tell?
  5. More rumbling about a Surfin' Spine Raid . . .
  6. Hey, ya know, if your gonna have your balls crushed, might as well put them on a dual-burner high-temperature grill . . . Another bike built for internet imaging and lookin' at.
  7. The *henway* got me mixed up. I thought we were talking about two different fuel pump alternatives to the Guzzi part . . .
  8. Add this alternative to the Encyclopedia of Parts?
  9. Yeah, that’s a first gen Sport (2000-2001).
  10. Dad-gum! That needs to go into the Encyclopedia of Compatible Parts! http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19514
  11. At the very least, servicing the connections is good method. (Open connections, clean, apply Caig DeOxit) And that High Current Relay in Position #5 . . .
  12. A hot motor launch across the Erie under the cover of darkness would probably push your shipping costs way up beyond UPS . . .
  13. 106,000 miles on an original 2000.
  14. Good find, POMINNZ! This looks to be a rated high current micro relay (although "Made in China", so carry spares): Britax RM4-1235R I found them online at https://www.ozautoelectrics.com/britax-c-over-micro-relay-12v-25-30a-5-pin-n-o-resistor-type.html for $8.00 (which I am thinking is Australian dollars).
  15. 505" RB with Holley dual quad EFI, A/C, cruise control, Hemi 4-speed with Passon aluminum case, Gear Vendors Overdrive, 3.55 gears for touring 4.10 for fighting. Torque converters are for construction equipment. Probably sound pretty decent, idling next to a V11 . . .
  16. sweeeeeet! I remember looking at one of these (also in a trailer park!) in Florida "back in the day." I told my buddy, "I dunno. Looks like the throttle pedal has been pushed though the floorboard." As it turns out, that is * normal use * . . . .
  17. So . . from what I have learned so far: 1) Replacement/ "upgrade" LED units do not compliment the existing reflector to project a reliable beam pattern. This is across the board and not just this one unit. The LED unit I referenced has a better lo-beam pattern, but sketchy hi-beam pattern. 2) The higher Kelvin "color" of ~5000K ( "whiter/bluer" than the more yellow halogen ~ 4300K), does not reflect the road surface and features back as well. 5000K reflects the road signage and reflective road markings spectacularly. Yet, riders, and drivers, are also reporting unwanted "glare" in rain, fog, or snow with the common 5000K LED. 3) Heat generation is problematic. Not just for the LED, but also normal halogen bulbs. And, especially, increased wattage halogen H4. My connector had melted using a normal H4 (riding most of the time on Hi). I have had various other damage experiences with hi-wattage H4 bulbs. 4) I am *feeling* more confident with a common Wagner H4 in the Sport for my upcoming ride that could catch us out after dark. My preliminary conclusion on improving the V11 for better night riding? There is no cheap solution. Early V11 steel buckets/reflectors (Bosch) are probably better than later plastic buckets/reflectors.
  18. Thanks for the links & report on your LED trial docc. Fortunate to find in time those meltdowns etc. I was all set to follow down the same path with this LED swap - until I noticed your late one night thoughts on its actual performance! The night riding aspect captures my interest. What's your conclusion here for increasing our V11's headlight capacity in lighting up the road ahead for better night riding vision? Is it that LED bulb swaps as a technology in general for V11's isn't all it's cracked up to be insofar as an upgrade for increasing night riding vision... or just this particular brand of LED bulb being a let down?? Those are all the right questions . . . I am working at divining some "right answers . . ."
  19. I've used high wattage H4 in the past, but found them unreliable (burned out unpredictably and too soon) and damaging (too much heat). How have you "upgraded the socket?" And what 100/55 H4 are you using?

    1968 Charger

I noticed the Mopar sticker on your toolbox and the tail lights of this car in your shop. Thanks for posting this! Sweet!
  21. Wow! Complete with roller rockers and side marker lights! What a fine, fine LeMans!
  22. You had me at Silver&Red! Then, I had to get to about image 27 before the hammer showed up . . . Welldone, Pressureangle!
  23. While the link is largely about HID conversions, the author makes valid reference to the shortcomings of LED conversions (from halogen/H4). luhbo said the same thing about LED module compatibility issues with the V11 reflector (I paraphrase). I am finding that this attempt to fit an LED module to the V11 headlamp is approaching the "failed attempt" stage . . .
