  1. Oh, dear me. Look at that red frame . . . . https://www.asphaltandrubber.com/bikes/moto-guzzi-v85/
  2. Did you guys ever nail down an Ozark SpineRaid date?
  3. Gotta love a motorcyclist; pulls off at the majestic overlook and turns around to take a picture of the road!
  4. footgoose has said he would use a stiffer spring on the next try: "My "alternative" mod is working well, but when I go back in there, I will stiffen up the spring."
  5. Any news on availability ?
  6. Tank bags are fer nannies! Man-up, ladies! No need to be seeing the roadway after all !
  7. No doubt, there is *something* different about the early Sport that makes the front U-joint nearly impossible. I have determined to just pull the swingarm every third rear tire change and see to all the business within.
  8. Haha! Well noted! And that is with having to fiddle with my gauge mount upgrade (which actually makes it easier than the standard four acorn nuts and removing the speedometer drive cable). Including four minutes looking for one of the metal fairing bushings in the gravel.
  9. +1 on 5.1 US gallons to fill an "empty" early (chin pad) V11 tank. And another +1 on the foam light blocker inside the Stucchi flyscreen fairing!
  10. Mo' better! . . . I expect the Low Fuel lamp to be the most improved.
  11. All right, I managed to get a "pilot's eye" view of my dim (early V11) warning light panel in the daylight. I would say they are even dimmer to the naked eye, through the faceshield, while under way:
  12. Because it is animal byproduct? Otherwise;
  13. What sort of store would carry glycerine? An ordinary hardware store, grocery, or automotive?
  14. "mid-size ADV" is a great trend that I want to see succeed! So, like a 673cc 3-cylinder Guzzi deezle. That's "mid-size", right?
  15. #12 loves you . . .
  16. What great responses! All in one day! *Call the V11 HotLine today. Operators are standing by!* Here is a link to LuckyPhil's definitive tutorial on "V11 Shift Improvement" . . . http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19547
  17. Links added . . . I've seen more than a few running issues evaporate with the High Current Relay(s), especially in Position #5 . . . Also, be certain your battery is up to full State of Charge and the terminals are clean, tight, and sealed with a secure main ground path.
  18. This one had me worried. Nice Guzzi dismantled on a lift. Nary a hammer in sight. Then I spotted the row of tap handles and knew everything will be okay!
  19. It actually leaks around the cylinder bases or head gaskets? That would be so uncommon. Otherwise, I would not take those parts off for leaks from other places
  20. Starting points: 1) High Current relay(s), especially Position#5 (fuel injection/ ignition). 2) Complete Decent Tune-up including baselining both the TPS and the CO Fuel Trim.
  21. Love that fork oil weight chart! Peter Verdone has one, too: http://www.peterverdone.com/archive/lowspeed.htm Some have found better compliance with V11 forks (in general) with lighter oils measured in centiStokes. The BelRay 5wt I like is 19.50 cSt.
  22. Silver leathers . . . yer killin' me, buddy.
  23. I found my clutch rebuild to be an excellent experience. I had fabulous, expert assistance! Plan on addressing the myriad sources for oil leaks while you are in there! http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18243&p=223663
  24. I'll hide the free GB for you. Win-win!
  25. Comes with a free GB500?
