  1. Today is the anniversary of the passing of Giovani Ravelli, for whom Carlo Guzzi and Gorgio Parodi adopted the eagle of the Italian Air Force as the symbol of Moto Guzzi. Since then, we have flown the eagle for many dear friends to be remembered . . .
  2. I'm trying to figure out Step4, what to lever against. Seems my battery is on the way?
  3. Woo-hoo! A proper Sport, then! Not a "hybrid" at all!
  4. Are the bikini/instruments fork mounted or frame mounted? Clip-ons or handlebars?
  5. So, Kiwi_Roy, I love this topic. How I wish I could get to that last 0.8-1.0 US gallon of fuel ! I have to take my tank off (again ) tonight. Let us know how you make out with the ratchet strap method . . .
  6. On ImgZeit, select the size (full, large, medium, small) on right before copying the BB code.
  7. Tried the Goof-Proofed Tank-on Method with a simple ratchet strap? http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=20071&p=223768
  8. Riding today, the quick, short shift is really a notable improvement (especially on the downshift for some reason) !
  9. I downloaded mine early in the *game*. I don't doubt PB is interfering with the downloads now. I can see if it can be tested. They're your images. You ought to be able to get them.
  10. What's your weight in full gear?

guzzidiag and the correct cabling are your best bet.
  12. I'm not sure these tanks don't just stretch regardless. I've been *pretty diligent * with zero ethanol fuel and my tank is probably 10mm long. Recently, I emptied it completely and left it open about a week and it still needed compression to mount.

  14. The perfect compliment to my new clutch!
  15. There, for just a second, I watched you walk up to the Guzzi and > > edit What? Where did the lingering views of the sweet silver Guzzi go? (I know you lingered. I just know.) Thanks, again, for all the extra effort and sharing! I love it when the videos capture the V-twin exhaust note.
  16. Photobucket is so slow these days there's no hope of getting the photos off. I have the originals but they aren't as well organized. Keep working on downloading your albums back from them. Once you have them, you can restore images as you see fit. V7cafe's ImgZeit is worth a look. It reminds me of "Beard" building "guzzidiag" for the community.
  17. I'd go on record as saying that the Chuck-Made/LuckyPhil Shift Extender® is, to me, an emblem of this entire community. My V11 shifted *fine* before. But, I am so jazzed to have this piece on my Sport - it so embodies all of the people (all over the world!) that have helped me enjoy this bike for all this time and, most recently, put this Sport back on the road after an unexpected failure. Y'all rock. *All y'all*
  18. You can download your P-Blockit albums to your computer: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1767&p=223608 Then, consider uploading it in large blocks to ImgZeit: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=20048
  19. Clutch and clutch actuation are fantastic! Shifts great! Sorting the typical sticky bits of having had something down far enough to peer inside the crankcase. Second shakedown ride today and even the short list is looking ticked off.
  20. Here's K&N's page on crankcase breather filters: https://www.knfilters.com/vent.htm?pkid=4731016&rw=1
  21. No response from Grimeca in two weeks. Someone else may want to contact them?
  22. No matter what map, you still have to index the map to the TPS "157 mV" baseline with the throttle plate fully closed, and zero the CO Fuel Trim. Oh, and the valve adjustment, balance the Throttle Bodies . . . Starting point: Decent Tune-up
  23. I've got to say you guys really helped me out with your videos while my Sport was down (for almost seven weeks!) . . . Thanks for going to trouble to rig, ride, edit, and post!
  24. 1) Buy beer, invite friends: (photo courtesy of Nick, 2016 South'n Spine Raid) Or, 2) Use The Goof-Proofed Tank-on Method: Helps if the tank is empty, and tighten a little at a time.
  25. Hm, yeah, they probably don't to be that tight to seal. Once the lid deforms, it would unlikely to get back right. Good news is, lots of folks take them off for pods, so, maybe you could come by one easily? For extra fun and *tuning* purposes, apply the proper >glass mandrels . . . (There is always the joy of emptying the 'glass mandrels.')
