  1. PM your cell or do you have WhatsApp ? I will send you pics ?
  2. PM me your cell and I will send you pics in the morning .
  3. Another easy method , use a test light and test with it . put the test light from the neg battery bolt to ground at the starter housing . Try starting the bike . IF the test light glows , you have a poor circuit / start looking . same goes for the positive circuit . Go from the positive battery bolt to the positive terminal (stud) at the starter . If it glows , start looking . A good test light is as good as ALL my Fluke meters and a lot cheaper to replace !
  4. I have one , let me dig it out , inspect it & get w/you .
  5. Remove the switch and check continuity of the switch . Push the button/pin in and see what you get . One way should be open and one way closed . If not ,, try electrical cleaner and "pop" the plunger about 20 times and keep using electrical cleaner until it works .
  6. It is perfect looking . The last bid is around $2350 ?
  7. Brian , are you gonna leave us hangin' ? You don't have a blown up engine until you know you have a blown up engine .
  8. Well , I am glad I looked before I gave my worthless opinion . They do produce a contactless Hall effect sensor that can be used in place of a wiper/pot set-up . If you can get it in the correct range and configuration , your problems are over !
  9. I'm THE authority on ruining things . Get the Heli-Coil and practice on some junk til you feel confident in what you're doing . It's easy . If a Simpleton like myself can do it , you can too !
  10. Alright : drop the pan and check for metal in the pan and metal in the oil . Rotate the engine to where the rods are at the bottom of the crank and inspect the big ends of the rods ..... discoloration , stuff hanging out , loose on the c/shaft . Look up at the oil filter and see if it is loose or if the o-ring has spit out of the oil filter base . Report back .
  11. Relax , it will take a while before everyone sees this stuff .
  12. Parts cattle dog ? Hmmm. Yes , it was not fun swapping it out . You only do it once though !
  13. With the extender on my bikes , it shifts better than my V Strom and as good as a Jap crotch rocket ! It went from H Farmall to WOW !
  14. If I remember correctly , I had to remove the front wheel to swap . You will have to refer to an earlier post where I pulled a Cornwell toolbox drawer oxer the top and removed four coats of clear in the process !
  15. How about the two Allen heads at the lower left and bottom ?
  16. I have one on my 03 sport w/Marzocchi forks . i am sure there is a part # for each style of fork
  17. It is likely to be a MG product. IDK if there would be a emblem or part # on the fender ?
  18. it was said , when he was interviewed (?) for the documentary , Ken quickly realized it was quickly becoming The Shelby Foote Show and he had to make adjustments !
  19. He was the most perfect Southern Gentleman of all time .
  20. It is a free country.......... I hope you are planning on tightening the timing belt(s) before you rev-up the engine .
  21. You do realize , as beautiful as it is , it is SOLID .
  22. No , now is the time to check , clean and make all ground connections PERFECT . Grease , shakeproof washers , the works . IDK if this is the culprit , but it is a place to start . With the terminals done , you need to trim back to good wire and install a new device . What do you have access to ? The CB is the premium way to go !
  23. LowRyter , I would flip the relay holder over , remove the relays and snug up ALL the terminal connectors & do the same thing with the fuse holder . Install the grease of your choice and see what happens. Make all your work deliberate and record all your step by step work .
  24. I did this as a preventative measure some time ago. I installed a larger relay into the circuit going to the starter solenoid . This remove the load from the factory wiring harness , fuses or relays . The original wire to the starter solenoid activates the relay with the relay controlling the starter solenoid . Pin 85 to ground , pin 30 to 12v , pin 86 to factory solenoid wire and pin 87 to the starter solenoid . I have done this on my 03 and I have done this on Ford farm tractors with Lucas starters . Any time you can make a Lucas anything work better...........
