  1. Don't make me post a picture. .
  2. If that properly strange cross over fuel line connector is the crimped one, it can easily come apart, dump fuel on your tire, and cause a spectacular crash and burn. Don't ask me how I know. Use the dual banjo on the carbs instead.
  3. Buell used the same unit, used to be available at your local Hardly dealer for like 7 bucks. Don't know if it still is. MZed used it,too.Just go to your local. .oh,never mind.
  4. Aviation Permatex is non hardening, and good for that application. About any auto parts place will have it.
  5. Dave lives in Ohio. I'm in Caifornia right now, and don't have his contact info. .
  6. A friend gave me the Guzzi OEM bag. Works well.
  7. I'm out this year. Taking Dorcia to a FLW tour in Chicago.
  8. Many times, people will go to more work to get out of work then it would have been to just do it right the first time. This is one of those times. .
  9. Gotta love this site. .
  10. Since you will be so close, don't miss Bear tooth pass from Red Lodge to Yellowstone.Certainly within the top 5 of all the motorcycle roads I've traveled. While you are at it take the Chief Joseph highway to Cody, and spend a few hours in the Buffalo Bill museum if you like western history and guns.
  11. Uh, have you ever tried to tune Dellortos? Nothin to it..
  12. Get off my lawn, young fella!!
  13. You can't go wrong with Gordon and Cheeshead at MG. They are long time Guzzi Guys, and know their stuff. If you are not sure whether what you want fits your application.. they will. They will also tell you that " you really don't need that. Sure, we'll sell it to you, but are you sure you want it?" First class guys..
  14. Dang unreliable Guzzis..
  15. I would think so, Docc.
  16. Hmmmm, I remember an issue with the Mighty Scura that required several people to fix at the spine raid.. 2018-09-10_08-34-08 by Charles Stottlemyer, on Flickr
  17. Yeah, they appear to be the same.
  18. Shirley finally got a good look at it.. and it's 2-2002.
  19. Welcome, and good on you for coming out of the closet. Disclaimer: I've not done this job. If the U joint is truly too big to pass through the swing arm.. (why would they do that??) removing the swing arm seems like your easiest course of action. You *could* pull the engine and transmission out and get the driveshaft out that way. I would never consider taking a uni joint apart without having it in my hand. Even at that, it's not a job for the timid. Pressure angle had a u joint out last summer, maybe he'll chime in. Ok, did a little research on WG. My friend Joe started a LeMans project a few years ago with great documentation. He had already pulled the swing arm before I got to it, though.. Looks like you need to do that, all right.. https://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=68144.0
  20. Tried again with my inspection camera. Nope. The next time I have the motorcycle disassembled I'll Shirley remember to look.
  21. It's behind the bracket on the headstock. The 2002 is easy enough to see. The number before that looks like 8. That's not saying it's not 3. Sorry..
  22. If you want to try and determine a cutoff date / vin# for the change, mine is an '02 - build date 07/01 - last 4 of the VIN 4769; still has flare style. If others respond with fitting style, date & vin, it can probably be narrowed down. Of course it is MG so it may have depended on which box of lines Guido reached into that day... Not to mention the barrel of WW2 mil surplus Fiat fighter plane parts..
  23. Yep, nice work..
  24. They're so fragile I think you could dent them from picking one up. It's easy to take the end cap off and work the dents back out, though. The sound is sublime..
