  1. WH? They are big in the Bandit world. Never thought about them for a V11 peg kit.
  2. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Strada-7-Motorcycle-Comfort-Grip-Covers-fits-Moto-Guzzi-Griso-Breva-Norge-Sport-/231046453237?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35cb7117f5&vxp=mtr this it?
  3. I'd like to see them but they look just like the plain foam grips that I use on the EV. Really cheap but the foam crushes after awhile especially if you haul your bike with a Canyon Dancer strap.
  4. I saw Marquez take his first victory Moto GP in Austin this April. Lorenzo ran a damn find race today but Marquez should've wrapped up the title two races ago. Big news is Burgess and Rossi parting ways after 14 years. Colin back on a Yamaha and Nicky back on a Honda. It will interesting to see how the customer rules bikes perform vs factory bikes. I wonder if Spies will make a comeback?
  5. About 10 days total. Get to Telico Thursday night. Ride for a week and get to Barber the following Thursday.

$4300 for a salvage bike? wow. Take about $2000 off it and you might have something. never mind- auction. wow again. some cool bike. low bid.
  7. That's what the factory is missing right now, a sportbike. I can just imagine something like that with a 1400 engine in higher state of tune. A conversion isn't a trivial proposition. The body work alone is 2500 euros. I think it's fantastic. The Grisso is still a long bike and doesn't have the agility of the Sport.
  8. I'll likely trailer there next year midweek. what about doing it back to back with Barber Vintage? I'd bring my toy hauler. Ride all week and get to Barber on Thursday. I know a nice campsite in Chattanooga on the way there.
  9. when you get really aggressive or do a track day, you'll trail brake. This is basically hitting the brakes hard in a straight line but keeping light pressure on to the apex of the corner until you hit the gas. Use both brakes to do it to keep the bikes stable. The Cherohala is a real wide open road that can be taken extremely fast before you need trail braking. Perhaps something like the Dragon would be a little better example? BTW- I'd really like to do this Spine Frame Raid again. Is there any chance that some of us would like to get there midweek? Say Wednesday night, so we can ride with less traffic and maybe ride the Dragon?
  10. Docc- you can use both the front & rear brake when trail braking. typically you use the front brake the most.
  11. I'd like to see some bikes on the logo, a sport and lemans.
  12. sounds like a common well nut ? Typically sued to attach windshields on to fairings. Ace Hardware carries a good selection. Not sure if you have a hardware chain in the UK with good fastener selection.
  13. poor me, I only have two Guzzis and a Moto Suzuki. All red, except for when it's green.
  14. EM is a smart guy.
  15. I'd like a T or Sweat. Hopefully with a Green Sport on it.
  16. geeees. that's a name I haven't heard in 35 years. I have one of their albums but no room to plug in a turntable.
  17. what color is the silver gray color on the Sport engine and wheels? the timing cover 0n the Sport got buggered up pretty good on the ride home from the Spine Frame Raid, it would be nice to respray it (or polish it like the EV).
  18. Probably so. But them clipon brackets is damned purdy.
  19. I've dropped the pan on the Sport twice now and lost count on the EV. Actually the Sport is easiest because there is no spacer plate.
  20. I like the idea of machining the stock bar ends to accept the mirrors. Perhaps just a narrow bend handle bar similar to the V11 naked would make for sense? Glad I asked this before I just jumped into and tried to put it all together. I have the OEM mirrors on my Suzuki Bandit and they work great.
  21. My Sport has been the converted to handle bars with CRG "Lane Splitter" bar end mirrors. I have the original parts and would like to reinstall the factory clip-ons with the CRG mirrors (rather than OEM mirrors). I know several of you tun this set-up. Two questions: 1. Visibility. Are the CRG superior or equal to the stock mirrors when attached to clip-ons? 2. Vibration. I note that with the clip-ons bar ends have huge and heavy vibration dampeners that go almost half the length of the bar itself. The CRG bar end are only a internal mount with no vibration dampener whatsoever and very light. Is the adequate vibration dampening? Are additional parts required?
  22. I've been running Castrol 20-50 Motorcycle Oil and Castrol Synthetic 75-90 gear oil for the tranny and rear end (+ Harper's molly additive). I change oil every 2-3 k miles and Uni oil filter every 6k when I service the tranny, rear end, plugs and valves. For the EV, I do the same but change the filter and major service at 10k miles. The 6k and 10k intervals are prescribed in the respective owner's manuals. I don't understand why the intervals are different. I don't search for Aqip brand oil. You can get 4 L jug of Castrol Motorcycle semi-syn for $28.
  23. I've been servicing my Sport after 2500 mile r/t to the Spine Frame (not a) Rally. Today I decided to change the oil + filter. I got the proper tool to drop the porthole to install the filter. after installing the filter, I could not get the porthole plug back in. It cross threaded every time I tried to reinstall it. Finally I dropped the pan. I did get it back on. It doesn't appear to be leaking. Man, it took a lot of time. Don't think I'll do this again. anyway, new fluids and valve adjustment (both intakes were a little loose). Done, but my 2 hours job turned into an all day affair.
  24. so the failed relay Sunday was the last one (5th one counting from the left)? Fuel & Ignition? (the bike turned over but the fuel pump didn't run) In a pinch, could you take #2 relay (headlight) to replace any of the other four to get the bike to run? (actually that was the first try that got the bike running)
  25. It's a challenge keeping the Sport reined in because there is a lot more left. It's a very stable handling machine and forgiving. I was concerned keeping the speed down and didn't want to risk another ticket. Some of the roads were blind and I won't go over a hill or corner faster than I can see- I got fooled once and nearly drove into a driveway when it appeared the road was turning that way. I think that was the only time I crossed the yellow unintentionally. The bigger challenge is sitting on it for 100+ miles at a time and burning up tires on the interstate. My legs get cramped on it. Next time, I am pulling a trailer like I've done before. The ticket has been paid ($141) and no record
