  1. wow. I've seen those photos before. Mustang is just 25 miles from where I live. In fact, my son teaches in the middle school.
  2. well everyone needs compression dampening, sometimes the jolts are little stiff for bumpy roads around here but the control is good with little brake dive. all in all not a bad compromise.
  3. what is the big complaint? does someone have Ohlins envy? I like the handling & ride. BTw- the Ohlins aren't top line Ohlins either. You can always go for more and more. Or perhaps gut it all but the springs and weld a shock to the fork ala Dr John. That would be cool.
  4. the local B&N still has last month's (Nov- Dec). Hopefully we'll get Jan-Feb soon.
  5. what does the design look like ?
  6. gees, ...I like the dampening on my red frame. It's set up a little stiff but seems to handle good.
  7. Tom, I've got the Race Tech "gold valve" fork kit & springs on my Suzuki Bandit. Made a huge differnce. I was surprised they offer no kit for the Guzzi Marchozzi forks. I've never heard of ATK cartridges, can you elaborate or cite the thread? Having said all this, I am pretty satisfied with my V11 Sport "as is". Seems to handle very well. I'll say one of the best bikes in the curves I've ridden. Mine has as handle bar conversion which provides good leverage. I've not touched the set up since I picked up the bike in August.
  8. so back to basics, how do I fix the jumpy speed? I lubed the cable, all the lube ran out through the transmission mount. I removed the cable from the transmission, saw that it ran smooth and was attached tight. Put it back on. I also note that the speedo doesn't go back to zero when I stop. I blip the throttle of couple of times to get it bounce to to zero. I am tempted to send the unit & cable to specialist- if I knew one. BTW- I found an Ap on my smart phone that give you a GPS Speedo + compass. I can just put that phone in clear tank bag cover & I'll have accurate speed.

    WORTH $5500

seems like these bikes also had a red seat pan.
  10. Yeah, the early tanks trap a lot of fuel on the right side. funny, the tank isn't quite symmetrical. It does slightly bulge on the right. what's the fuel capacity?
  11. ran my sport dry with 167 miles and filled it with 4.7 gallons 35 mpg
  12. The Mighty Scura will do power wheelies.. Should be noted that Chuck's Scura is a ringer with aftermarket pistons(and maybe more?),standard bikes don't perform that way! Since I bought my Greenie from Chuck's son, I have no doubt he knows what's what.
  13. The Mighty Scura will do power wheelies.. dirt bike bars
  14. the Sport will lift the front tire just on a "good" launch.
  15. it was cute. it wasn't a quarter mile. It was barely 200 ft. torque + long wheel base = launch
  16. hacksaw the ends.
  17. That sounds like a fueling issue. +1 - Perhaps a good indication for a thorough tune-up (valve adjustment, plugs, TPS/ idle set, throttle body balance). Worth a try! the clutch us just grabby on the disengagement when I goose it.
  18. That sounds like a fueling issue. I think it's a jerky clutch egagement....but don't know why it's only 3rd to 4th. prolly cause I was goosen it hard there
  19. That sounds like a fueling issue. I think it's a jerky clutch egagement....but don't know why it's only 3rd to 4th.
  20. I know when I am riding aggressively and upshift from 3rd to 4th that it kind of sticks & lurches. Just a slight delay and jerk. don't know why it does it. sorta fun too. dont want to hurt it
  21. green sport would be nice
  22. geees guys, I was just speaking generically .....just upgrade to better bearings like I have on my other bikes.
  23. I think mine are too late. It's pretty notchy. If you go to the trouble of taking it apart, why not replace them with hi quality roller bearings?
  24. I am guessing that steering head bearings are weak spot on the early models. my bike handles great and steers smooth but when I was screwing around with it installing the tankbag and pulling the bars back and forth, it feels really notchy pushing it around the garage.
  25. Mate I had the same problem 12mths ago just take the unit to a specialist and get them to strip it and clean and lub it before it shits it self completely. wait? did you have the speedo serviced or the cable?
