  1. Unless youre looking to totally stock out a Scura don't bother. They rarely pop up and they go for just a tad more than an OEM. Best carbon pipes for a v11 are Mistral. I thought it was M3 but I got those and the Mistrals on my other V11 sound better.. If anyone wants to trade up their Carbon Mistrals for a set of Carbon M3s hit me up..;-]
  2. I see this and the first that comes to mind is : "When is this guy gonna list the spare parts on ebay?"
  3. I was reading the comparisons of the V11 to a Thruxon... I caught myself laughing... A Thruxton "having the beans" to run to a V11? Ive owned 3 Bonnie variants. 2 Thruxtons.. I also have 2 V11s so I can I think I can be pretty insightful and smug about commenting.. A stock aircooled thruxton to a stock v11? The V11. A Thruxton with no airbox, jetted right and pipes and upgraded sprockets to a V11 with a map and pipes? Pretty f-ing toe to toe. Why? Power to weight. My old Thruxton I can honestly say I have gone neck and neck with V11s. Shit, I used to outhandle Ducati Sportclassics ( those bikes were pretty but total hype) . I wish I could find the old gopro vids.. I can honestly say a Thruxton CAN be comparable in a lot of ways to a V11. Except in torque . And proper noise. V11 trumps it. My V11s somedays feel like pigs in the mountains but muscling them into corners for me at least is the fun of it. I do find the v11 also more reliable. Shockingly. When I rode cross country to Lexington OH for Vintage Motorcycle Days my Triumph arrived on a flat bed with a charging issue. Im totally confident I can hop on my 16 year old Lemans and do 1000 miles problem free. Some days I miss my Bonnies. Some days. But the v11 Sports tend to check the same boxes and a few more. I'll never smashmouth a Thruxton . They can be quick. The thing is with the money you'd drop into it to make it quick you can do a v11 Sport and spend less. In fact .... Talking money.. The money to buy my Thruxton and mod it to be a tad faster than say a V11? I spent the same amount on buying a V11 Lemans AND a V11 Scura.. Just sayin...lol
  4. I hit the link and an Eldorado appeared. But following the link and the pic on the post of a what appears to be a poorly painted Scura? Ok. One thing we all gotta remember about an old Scura : That clutch and flywheel. If you're not ready to change that thing out you better run...lol I got lucky with mine since the guy I bought mine from changed it out before it was going to decide to jailbreak itself out of the case. And if this guy is a "meh" dealer??? It would be a great project at the right price.. Wonder the number and if it's in the registry..
  5. I see 3 miles and I get queezy. One thing I know about Guzzis is they don't like to sit dormant. . Bad things happen when they sit too long.
  6. This is the alcantera. I got it for the same reason the other gent said. The upholsterer wanted me to buy a whole hide. However thankfully I got the alcantera. Don't have to worry about getting it wet. It's softer and lighter than suede and your butt sticks to it in the corners. I love it...
  7. Just have it reupholstered. If it's not real suede make it real suede...lol I redid mine in alcantera and added red stitching . Not everyone's cup of tea but I think it's bad ass..
  8. You sold the Lemans, Scud?!! For a Ducati st3?!! Maybe a 900ss but an ST3? I wish I knew. Would of bought your gauge cluster...lol
  9. Love to see the Guzzi love but the article has it wrong. Firstly the tank. It's near 6gal. The value is off too. However that is all over the board. There were some other little things too but hey, it's all good. Good to see the love..
  10. Man, if you get $19k for your Scura..,,,
  11. Hm. I had one of them for like 12hrs. Barely put 50 miles on it and the rear end locked up making me highside at like 45-50. When I contacted the dealer and Triumph about what happened they basically told me to get f*****. That was my 6th Triumph . Keep that in mind when considering one..
  12. It's the angle.. Im running 40psi... More like "deflate them tires a little"...lol
  13. Finally got my bellypan from the paint shop . I spent 2 weeks looking at this determining red or grey... And I went grey... Not too shabby, eh?
  14. Maybe do a mono color of the Sport and Lemans just to represent the models? This way it would accomodate ALL the models. It's nice to see anything for these bikes.
  15. Are you going for the look with the pods?
  16. I too am at a dilema. Just fitted a bellypan to my LeMans(A shout out to Scud. Btw found the hardware...lol) . Debating on whether I should go red or grey. Thoughts, folks? Have a red and grey 2002 . Guess my photo is too big to post... Thoughts?

    WTB Bellypan

Looking to buy a v11 bellypan. Carbon or glass no biggie. Pm me if you have one available. Thanks
  18. A v11 is much more bike than a v7. A well sorted v11 is comparable to a Griso... If you like the v7 don't buy it for performance .

    Nero Cafe

I would personally put back the side covers but other than that it's sweet. Practically a Scura and we all here know that is a good thing.
  20. Once Italian...Owned by the Chinese now and made in China with Italian parts (or mostly)and engineering.,, Hell, There are Ducatis made in Thailand... https://www.instagram.com/p/BTgPM4HhuZn/ Must be pretty durable.... (can someone pop that pic up please? ) Thoughts?
  21. Im right now debating on getting a set of these for the Scura. This guy also sells these with a black crinkle coat... I've seen them with the "Guzzi" brushed on the black. They really pop...
  22. Mileage at 20k... I smell a bad flywheel. Still worth asking price though.

    Custom seats

You can go just about any upholsterer and have a bumpstop done to your seat. I had it done to my old CB750 putting in a bumpstop filled with memory foam so it would crush down for a rear passenger.
