I'll say it again. Use the hub from the Scura.
-
If this is the hub you got from MG it IS for a 6 speed but for use or conversion to a dual plate assembly. https://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193&products_id=5222 The RAM assembly that is sold for a 5 speed is intended to convert the std dual plate assembly to the lighter single. So it would include the hub and cup to accommodate the 5 speed actuating rod, which differs in diameter and (maybe) length to the one in your Scura. Confused? Me too

The clutch hub you need is GU01211640. This is the hub that came with the RAM kit for 6 spds, which was discontinued because they ran out of oem hubs and couldn't source them (we think). That hub was already used in oem Scura/Tenni assemblies, so use the one from your Scura. I think (but not sure) the one MG sold you was for a 5 spd. What I am unsure of in your case is the actuating rod length and it's compatibility with the spring actuating cup. Pretty sure the Scura rod and cup will work. I purchased one of the last RAM 6 spd kits and the GU01211640 hub came with it.

Is the roof kit a Ford accessory or other? I see the Cinnamon Pass sign. Did you get into Ouray? -

Well played adventure Dave. And a really nice rig. -
I hate when that happens. Could you make something like this work? https://www.amazon.com/kkone-Headlight-Retaining-Headlamp-2007-2018/dp/B07BH35PTM/ref=asc_df_B07BH35PTM?tag=bngsmtphsnus-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=80539344142740&hvnetw=s&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4584138871966253&psc=1 And what sort of LED pilot bulb did you use?

We can trust AI right? I searched my IPhone photos for art. Out of about 1500 pics it chose 45 as art. Most were rooms with paintings hanging. A bunch of dog faces (I approve) and a couple of my house. One motorcycle. Maybe it liked the red squares. idk. Settled science. Anyone have a Chat GPT account? It's a useful and interesting feature though possibly overly OCD. While typing the search a prompt appeared for Arthropod - 1 It selected a squashed brown wooly worm I photo'd.

A couple of applicable quotes from Frank Lloyd Wright: "Art is a discovery and development of elementary principles of nature into beautiful forms, suitable for human use." "Form follows function, -that has been misunderstood. Form and function should be one, joined in a spiritual function." On another note, The Wright brothers built the first airplanes in their garage from scratch, with no education and little support. They built and repaired bicycles prior and were self taught. Possibly a stretch with today's topic but not that far, and the human principles are the same. If innovators don't understand the difference between engineering, designing and fabricating, I don't see a problem with it. Mfg's don't set the standard for what we want. They play catch up to the standard we define when we buy their bike and "finish it."

Haha, me too, tho quite a few years earlier. Same heart and soul, just a different day, and look. On topic, we have a few makers of spine frame customs on the forum tho the names escape me. They made some beautiful personalized versions. Altering bikes is not everyone's cuppa. And, truth be told, most factory bikes need improvement. Comments about this or that alteration can sometimes, shall we say, diminish ones enthusiasm for sharing. I always try to support someone's endeavor at art. Even if not to my taste, respect is usually due. It's not my fkng bike is it? "well let's see what you can bloody do mate." usually rings in my head before I nit-pick. A recent custom example is @Lucky Phil 's lovely greenie project. More of an engineering custom than a "look" custom, but certainly looks the part of what he wanted to accomplish I think, beyond just sticking that gorgeous motor into a relatively standard Sport. My guess is you were going for 'the Sport they should have built' ? The Sport/LM is a very unique design. An anomaly in factory backed releases imo. The Italians are known for it. Some work some don't. (cough centauro) The Daytona and early 1100 Sports will set the mark for value in the spine line. Eventually our beloved Marabese versions will be "discovered". Close ... but till then... it's your bike isn't it.

love it Art!

Ha, no I wish it were. I think they did that on a few other year models. Not sure why. Maybe a safety visual highlight. I used to think it odd, but it grew on me.

Very nice Skip. the Superveloce headlight ring does double duty as an homage to early Guzzi LeMans

As I thought yours was. I don't believe there were many 'chin pad' tanks without the actual black soft pad, but thought it worth a mention.. so averting/creating confusion. I can't say I've seen any other painted chin pad tanks other than on the Tenni. May be exclusive though I've seen several Tenni pictured with the black pad. Curious

just to clarify.. some (mine) of the 'chin pad' tanks came with no pad. Still a removable piece, only plastic and painted color of the tank.

This Moto Studio? https://moto-studio.com/collections/builds Some really nice stuff there. Do keep us in the loop with your build and whatever else you want to share. The spine frame is a great 'palette' for customs. Interchangeable or adaptable parts is always an interesting subject. Welcome to the Forum Max77
