  1. Nice! Saint Vitus/Black Sabbath... I had to look them both up to make the connection, lol. Wouldn't Joe Cocker work as well?
  2. Roy, what is the cut off year for those early/late layouts? Or, which applies to an '02? And thanks, I'm soaking it all in. I could just compare them to my shop manual ...IF I HAD ONE. Could anyone recommend a good one, and maybe where to get it? I like paper, not a fan of cd.
  3. here's one for an '01. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-MOTO-GUZZI-SPORT-V11-HEADLIGHT-MOUNTING-BUCKET-WIRE-HARNESS-BULB-SOCKET-/331560885002?hash=item4d32919b0a:g:ASEAAOSwEeFVU6X1&vxp=mtr If yours is anything like this with the side mounts, there are hundreds of other make alternatives. If you aren't fixated on oem replacement. Airheads have notoriously expensive headlights, so I used a $10 vintage Kawasaki, and only a nosy purest can tell. If you go this route, give us a picture an a measurement or 2 so we might make a recommendation.
  4. I recall something was talked about a spacer or actuating rod or ?? being different when going to a single plater from dual. There's a thread with that I'm sure tho I can't say where. Now... where in H*** did you get a Ram clutch?? And.... what was the condition of the Alum stock flywheel? Mileage?
  5. I assumed you meant the clear plastic cover for the idiot lights. $8
  6. I got that piece and the rest of the dash pieces at Harpers MG. Just use the fiche on their site. Or call them. They're good people.
  7. congratulations Phil and welcome.
  8. So this got me doubting the fit of my Corbin. The photo of yours seems to match my seat. I put my seat on the 02 LM and it fit as well as one could expect for aftermarket. I had to imprint on something for a contact test. I used corrugated cardboard about 3/32". There was a small but definite hit on the front corner of the relay. And a slight corner hit on the fuse box. I'm sure I could hammer a dent to clear both. The rubber bumpers seem to be in the correct spot, but I can't really tell. The seat is a good fit otherwise. Now, strangely enough, it doesn't fit as good on the Tenni. I didn't pursue the reason cause I don't care Could be the rear catch position. Sorry about your seat, hope I didn't mislead.
  9. I put an Angel on the rear and I like it. Don't know why, but it was a bit disappointing seeing it was made in China. Pirelli sounds Italian right?
  10. the Corbin site shows only one, the V11S-G for all years. that is what mine is. it has a metal pan, fairly flat, without all the goofy contours on the stock seats. new $395.
  11. yes. my early seat fit, but under seat components are arranged differently and fouled the seat pan. once I did cut outs, it fit just like the later one. Again... the Corbin pan will be different than stock.
  12. they are different, but only in a couple spots. frame wise the same, but early seat will hit some components that mount higher on the later models. I can confirm this, but only for stock seat pans. I have a corbin too, and don't know what year it was made for (ebay). It seems to fit but I'll have to investigate further to see how well. I'll let you know any revelations I find. ditto fotoguzzi, I paid 225 for mine.
  13. That would indicate to me, all the more reason to use one, or better one. Especially with the 'seemingly flimsier' Ti hangers.
  14. gtv6. what a lovely car. I was an ALFA salesman (very short stint) in '86 and got to drive a few. Loved that rear tranny. thanks.
  15. We'd like to see the rest of it please.
  16. I ride a LM so can't comment on the Sport re: dampner. I think you answered your own question tho, & +1 on getting the aftermarket. +1 on the bike being beautiful. She was kept clean. I'll take a wild guess on the bars. LSL maybe from Spiegler?? Seat? reworked for sure. The upright position will be harder on the butt, easier on the neck. congratulations on the nice score.
  17. Marty-Scud I'm curious if either of you are running an aftermarket xover, and if yes are you utilizing the frame hangar bracket for it. There will be much more stress (especially vibes) on the can hangers if this is not used. My mounted FBF xover does not have a frame hanger, but my unmounted Stucci does. It seems ok with the stock cans, as the can brackets are much beefier and the "hang" symmetry is better than the Ti system. When I add my Ti cans, I'm considering using the Stucci (although it's fitment is less friendly) for the bracket, OR welding one on the FBF.
  18. I've never seen a fuse do that.. scary. thanks for the pics!
  19. Insulation may be the wrong word. I'd say it's more of a chrome-ish metalic tape. much like hvac duct tape.. the good stuff. I actually used some of that to re-attach where my stock stuff was falling off, around the edges. I think it's original purpose was more to reflect heat than anything else.
  20. mine isn't much louder (intake noise, which I LOVE) than stock. I have a Feracci xover and stock cans. We'll see when the Ti's go on in a few weeks. Sound is the "charm" of a twin. Gio - I didn't realize K&N sold one for stock config. sounds like a good alternative while still using the snorkels.
  21. mr monkey, what is this lid you speak of? the top of my stock air box won't fit on my BMC plate.
  22. Just like mine. That is a BMC kit. A Euro version of our K&N. The filter is washable. I use a K&N wash & oil kit for mine. BMC has a kit too. Make sure your under tank insulation is securely fastened to the tank.
  23. please gelos, let's see some photos!
